We still have a wind blowing off of the ocean: E/ENE which is pushing the cooler ocean air into shore. This is making for a brisk April day which is to be expected this time of year. Surface conditions are choppy and wave height is waist plus w/the swell coming out of the E. NOTE: JUST PICKED UP 5 GFG/MURRAY ROSS BOARDS. NOBODY DOES A RESIN TINT LIKE GFG. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
It's a foggy morning out here at Pensacola Beach today. It's hard to see the surf. But it looks to be running solid knee high with bigger sets. I did see what looked to be a thigh high wave come through. The wind is blowing out of the ESE at 4-6 mph and the air temperature is 67 degrees. Low tide was at 2:49 this morning and high tide is at 3:499 this afternoon. The wind is supposed to stay out of the SE all day but according to the surf models the surf isn't supposed to build today but we should have surf tomorrow morning. Tuesday is looking really good. Have a great Sunday and we will give you another surf report later today.

About 2 hours ago, we just had a switch in wind direction. The wind is now blowing out of the ENE at 22 mph w/gusts. Corolla's tide is currently falling and wave height is waist plus surf. But the more speed that the wind generates, the more the sections will be pushed over creating closeouts. NOTE: I JUST PICKED UP A DELIVERY OF BOARDS FROM GALE FORCE GLASS/MURRAY ROSS. Good morning. We have offshore SURF! The surf is running hip to waist high. The wind is blowing out of the NNE at 6 mph and the air temperature is 66 degrees. Low tide was at 1:45 this morning and high tide is at 2:57 this afternoon. The offshore winds are supposed to pick up as the day goes on so get on it before it drops to much. There are some closeouts so look for the right sandbar. Have a great Saturday and we will give you another surf report at midday. Go SURF!
Oh Yeah! We have an incoming tide, wave height is thigh to stomach (on the faces), an off-shore wind and air/water temps are climbing. The light wind is leaving Corolla w/glassy conditions. Wave height and break will dependent on the tide with waves of this size. This means finding the right sandbar will be important. There are plenty of breaks through Whalehead. NOTE: THE COROLLA SURF SCHOOL IS WIDE OPEN. OUR SCHOOL EXCLUSIVELY USES THE BEST LESSON BOARDS OUT THERE: THE GNARLOO BY GSI. SEMI-SOFT, RUBBERIZED FINS AND LOTS OF FLOAT. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Good morning. The surf is up! It's running waist to rib high. The wind is blowing out of the SSE at 9 mph and the air temperature is 67 degrees. Low tide was at 12:30 this morning and high tide is at 2:09 tonight. The surf should stay up for the rest of the day. So go surf! Have a great Friday and we will give you another surf report at midday.
