Good morning. We have SURF! It's running chest to shoulder high. The wind is blowing out of the SSW at 8-10 mph and the air temperature is 62 degrees. We have a neap tide today. The models are showing offshore winds around midday. GO SURF! Have a great Saturday and we will give you another surf report at midday.
Saturday March 29th 2014. Surf was small today in santa Teresa, in the waist high range, and although conditions were clean, surf wasn't very good. Beautiful weather and some very fun and mellow beginner waves at Playa Hermosa, as well as at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary. Old SW swell has almost faded out completely, and tomorrow a new SSW swell will slowly start to fill in.
Great weather, just choppy thigh high surf. I took these pictures up on the North Beaches right after low tide. Despite the chop, I feel good about the quality of the sand bars. From the Dare County line to the Virginia State line, Currituck has 23 plus miles of surf and numerous undiscovered sand bar breaks. So far, I think we are looking good for summer surf. NOTE: STARTING MONDAY, LISTEN TO 99.1 THE SOUND. MATT COOPER & THE COROLLA SURF SHOP SURF REPORT. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Good morning. The surf is up! It's running shoulder to heah high with bigger sets. The wind is blowing out of the SSE at 13-14 mph and the air temperature is 64 degrees. We have a neap tide for the rest of the day. The surf should continue to build as the day goes on. The winds are supposed to stay on it hard all day. Go find some shelter if you can. Saturday is still showing offshore surf for the afternoon so hopefully that doesn't change. Have a great Friday and we will give you another surf report at midday.
