At this afternoon's posting, Corolla has small ankle to knee cap high surf, a light wind out of the ENE and semi-glassey conditons. If you are planning to go surfing, you might want to want & let the tide drop. You will need a longboard w/a lot of float. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP

More Spring weather! Air temps are in the low 60's and H2O temps into of the 40's. I took these pictures at high tide in front of my home break. Waist plus surf w/semi-choppy conditions. My girlfriend had expressed interest in learning some of my favorite hobbies. One early Saturday morning I took my girlfriend and some long boards down to Manhattan Beach, CA and taught her how to surf. We paddled out after a brief lesson on the shore to test the waters and after a few tries with no luck we paddled back in and decided to play in the white wash. It only took her a few tries till she was riding the white wash with no problem. We then proceeded to paddle our for the rest of the morning. Couples who surf together, stay together

Good afternoon! The surf is still up. The hard winds haven’t hit as of yet but we are still waiting and watching. It is really full and kind of weak, but it is surf and bigger than thigh high! The winds are out of the SSE at 9-10 mph causing for some chop and disorganization. It is supposed to build all day but the winds are going to get stronger and change to the SW at some point. Go surf while you can. We will keep our eyes on the Gulf and keep you updated.
