Winter returned! The wind is out of the ENE and wind chill feels like the low 30's. Water temp is still hanging around the 50 degree Fahrenheit mark. Surface conditions are choppy and wave height is a 'questionable knee cap high wave'. NOTE: THE CSS BUYING TEAM SAW SOME GREAT NEW BOARD SHAPES AT THE EXPO & WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO 2014. This is Blue Surf Adventures surf school report, located at the gorgeous beach of Santa Teresa in the pacific coast of Costa Rica.Surf was good today at Santa Teresa. Waves are slowly getting a bit bigger, but still under the shoulder line. Today most were between knee and waist high. Conditions were nice and clean and weather was hot, very hot! There were some fun waves breking at the peak upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary, a gorgeous boutique and surf destination hotel and billabong sponsored surf camp.
It is January but it feels like late March. Air temps are still mild, no wind chill and Corolla has a very clean knee-to-longboard wave. The sun is out and water temps are still in the low 50 degree Fahrenheit range. The is unusual for this time of year: typically we are in the 40's. Check out your favorite break and get your longboard. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
the swell is a little mixed up but there are still a few coming through at the first jetty. The wind is lite offshore so it is relatively glassy. What a beautiful morning.
