Congrats to VB kid Micheal Dunphy

    Micheal Dunphy made it to the quarter finals in Australia at the Kangaroo Island Pro, which is a ASP Prime event, Kolohoe Andino was the eventul winner, Dunphy lost to Mitch Crews who was in the final with Kolohoe.
    Good on ya mate, hope to see you keep making it into the finals of alot more ASP Prime events and get on tour, its been since Wes Laine that a VB guy was a presence on the big boy tour.
    Now if Brett Barely could get his game going and get an OBX guy on tour

    That's awesome. I love surfing with Wes and his kid. they are hilarious and Wes just flat out rips on anything haha

    I know this thread isnt specifically about Wes... but he is awesome. There is no way I would go into Coastal Edge if it weren't for him and his knowledge about all things surfing. Definitely the kind of guy you can talk to for hours, and hear a million things you didn't know.
    And pertaining to the thread, it's really cool to see a local guy doing really well:D
