same part of town - like 30 blocks checked - friday and saturday morning glassy, lined up, pretty tropical groundswell. This morning it was still glassy but it was like crummy chest high wind swell bumps with no juice, lumpy waves, nothing like the last two mornings but just as much swell on the buoys? Any theories?

same here. paddled out on 34th streeet...some lines coming through, but all bumpy and wind swell like. it was about 7-9:00 this morning. is it the tide maybe? it was sucking out to low, thought maybe that had something to do with it. it really picked up around 2-3 pm today, even though the winds were crapping it out a bit.

yeah around there...i think the satellite photo answered my question...a little storm went by last night and NE winds were blowing offshore..i think that explains all the "chunks" this morning.

mid to high incoming tide is generally the best time to catch these long period swells in delmarva.
