I would like to thank all the forecast pages for missing this swell today. Just me and a buddy of mine had miles of open water with pumping head high sets all day!
Kooks (not talking about the forecasters) missed this one!

I got a solid three ours out there today. Only about one of them with good wind but there were some solid waves coming in and no one surfing, I love that part the most.

I feel your pain bro, I have a vertebral subluxation.. just a fancy way of saying my entire spine shifted forward and threw off my nervous system causing me severe pain and difficulty breathing.

But anyways I couldn't get in the water today either... It's torture

I surfed yesterday and today here in VB. I was hoping there would still be some size today, and it was suprisingly fun today (waist-stomach), with the high tide push.

I was praying that the afternoon thunderstorm would stay away, and it did. Fun, the drive home was slow and mellow, one of those afternoons ;) stoked!

Forecast for outer banks today was waist high. I had to go down anyway to pick up a board so I figured I'd stop off and check it on the way down after hearing a swell interval on my NOAA radio of 13 seconds offshore. I made a good choice. A real good choice. The only two people in the lineup were both carpenters working on a condo on the beach and decided to ditch the hammer and nails.

We had wind pick up for an hour but it didn't mess up the conditions. Today was really pretty good...especially being unexpected.

Totally agree. I am so happy that I was able to get out for a few hours after work. Definitely the best day in the last few weeks and the fact that it wasn't crowded (like Sunday) made it even better!
