I wish I had more footage of my and my friends surfing ... haven't had a photo of me taken in about 3 years .. and whenever someone is taking photos they have no idea what they are doing so its pretty much pointless ... #Touched

Yea vBulletin forum software would'nt be my choice, phpBB is pretty user friendly I think (from my experience of running a few sites). But I know the site admin is probably too busy to test them all out.

@ MDsurfer love the ATHF in that picture!

stayabovetheweather, if you have the photo on another website you can link it by clicking the button at the top of the post reply box (what you type your post in after you hit the reply button on the main thread) that has a little tree with black dots at the corners of the icon (inbetween the filmstrip looking one and the globe icon with a sideways "8" at the bottom of it) just enter or copy and paste the link where your picture is located. Though some people frown on this they call it hot linking, it uses their sites bandwidth to display the image on another site ie: this one.

If your picture is on your computer then go to your profile (the "My Profile" button is near the top of the site in the dark grey area), hit the gallery tab, then hit the "Edit Gallery Block" button, on right side of screen next to that vertical banner. Then looking on the left go down to the "My Settings" part and hit "Your Photos and Albums" button. Now you can find the "Upload Image" button, click it, find your picture on your computer, you can enter some info in the title and description field if you want (Im not sure how to do this for multiple images), now you have to select a category its MANDATORY, also is checking the upload policy box near the bottom. Ahhh now you can hit submit and it will upload, a moderator will have to approve your image prior to it being added to your gallery.

Its alil drawn out I know, but its much more simple to find a image host (flickr, imageshack, photobucket), some have ads some dont. And then you can just use the first method I described.

Hope this helps. I uploaded a picture I made to try this out :)

    Where is it?

That's a lot of intructions for posting a pic. After learning the process on other forums and seeing how easy it was, and how this forum's process is, um, a little difficult, I'll pass.
And, there seems to be no "Preview Your Post' button? That is a good feature...

The picture I uploaded is waiting for approval from the admin, alternatively I found out you can create a album and it takes off a few steps from the long drawn out one I posted above. I think the easiest way might be to use a image host and just copy and paste the link to the image into the field when you use the button above the reply box. I agree its very complicated, even to me I was amazed how un-friendly the process is. Its not my place to tell the admin how or what to use on his/her site, but I would suggest a more friendly forum software... :-o
