I hate to say it but swell info forecasting is way more accurate than surfline. The only reason I hesitate saying this is because I am a premium member, paying around $50 a year, yet swell info's 7 day forecast is way more accurate and reliable compared to surfline's 5 day. I've found myself on more than one occasion seeing waves predicted by swell info before surf line even recognized the swell. Pretty much keep doing what your doing swell info, thanks.
yea i pretty much agree with you on the forecasts, I'm a premium member also, and you just can't beat the HD cams. that's why I keep paying for surfline
thanks bros... And, its going to keep on getting better... Lots of things in the works from improving the forecasting technology to improving the user experience.
They are normally verry verry similar in my opinion. NWS is hands down best for wind predictions tho. They never let me down. One thing I can say for SwellInfo is that he has the best way of presenting the data. The little green man effing rules!!!
I love, love, LOVE the lay out on swellinfo.....and I don't believe any forecast more than 48 hours out so no need to pay for 5 days (It's IS GOING TO CHANGE anyway)........but swellinfo has been "right on time", with time. If the forecast says the wind is going to change at 6pm, then it will change after 5pm and before 7pm. Off by only 45 minutes or so.....which is freakin' amazing. Thank you SOOOO much swellinfo......you help me surf after work each day.
I am definately a fan of swell info. Surflines presentation is lacking and hard to understand. Love the wave tables of swell info!
I check both sites on a regular basis but I always depend on Swell Info for my forcasts. Surfline has good articles and information about the surfing world but Swell Info's forecasts are more localized and accurate. Keep up the awesome work Swell Info!!!
Forecast was spot on..I need a long board for mornings like these. This ape is starting to stand up...anyone wanna trade some art for an old longboard in S Florida?
