Yep Ponce was going off for about three days. Head high Saturday am. Nice way to start the season!

hit it up before dark in nj- some fun waves at the right spot- with the tide and sandbar variables... had a few fun rides, waist high... maybe you could call it bigger, idk... it was warm and better then flat...and fun for the size!

    Rockaway was perfect glassy lines

Rockaway was as perfect as i have ever seen it.
I live in jersey but when i saw the ny harbor buoy reading southv swell at 14 secionds i knew i had to get out to rockaway or long beach. I was not dissapointed, shoulder head high sets perfectlt lined up and other than that not a ripple in the water. I was getting amazing rides from jetty to jetty. Maybe not the biggest day ever, but size isn't everything. Today goes down as.one of the most perfect surf days i have had, and its been a good couple of weeks!

Late afternoon, early evening yesterday got fun in NoMoCo. Belly high and clean... warm water... a bit of a wait at times for sets, but a nice way to end the day.

I surfed uptown yesterday... was nice to be in the water.. but I was constantly hoping for more size.... I certainly didnt see shoulder to head high... But Im 6'2"... so maybe its all relative...

Agree - Rockaway was in fine form yesterday evening. Box was as good as i've see it and definitely a couple of head high waves (I'm only 5'11") but mostly clean chest/shoulder sets. Haven't seen it that good since the early Irene push Aug 26.

I guess it was better downtown then it was uptown... I hate going downtown as its overpopulated with kooks and drop-in artists... how was the crowd yesterday?

Surprisingly, the crowd wasn't bad (7 - 8pm), probably since it was spread out from the box to the 4th or 5th row of sticks. I had to straighten out a couple of times due to the types you mentioned, but overall the kook quotient was below average for 90th and everyone was is good spirits.

    Beryl was a fun swell...

It wasn't big, but it was fun. We had some fast lines out here in Wrightsville Beach. A few barrels too...
