Jesus effen Christ SWELL INFO!!!!!! I'm pissed this site is not God! Really, where is the damn forecast for Antarctica? What are you, relying on proven weather models, offshore buoys, historical data and other reliable sources of information to build a highly reliable, within a good margin of error, surf forecast or something!? How amateur! Don't you know the only way to truly please everyone is to use omniscience, ESP and a crystal ball!? Tighten up man!

Yep some sites are more accurate at times but they don't have all the good forum fights we do here lol. I use MSW this site and all the other data I mentioned to make a total picture of the surf.
More than a few times, the SwellInfo near shore wind forecast for Delmarva has been the most accurate of all the forecasts I've looked at, sometimes substantially so, and any real surfer knows there is nothing more fickle than the local wind. I haven't been to MSW in a long time, because it used to be a joke!

I love how you are crying about a FREE forecasting site!!!! How do you think such sites become free? Advertising moron! Do you think Mr. Swellinfo has nothing better to do with his life then make sure you are satisfied in knowing when there are waves. You live on the East Coast the answer is simple: there are no waves! Stop crying, stop whining, who cares what the forecast is. If you don't live close enough to the beach to where you can drive down to look at it yourself then just give up surfing. But it sure does make you look like an idiot for complaining about a free service you use, a forum you belong to, and a nice reply from a man that has a lot of patience for ignorants like you. I think a thanks is in order to Mr. Swellinfo for allowing us this site bc if i was him i would have pulled the plug along time ago due to idiotic people. Save your rants for the welfare check line bc free money isn't ever good enough either i guess.
apparently you guys don't read so well --- did i ever complain about the waves? i complained about the convenient changing of the forecast. If Dr. Swellinfo establishes a forecast a week out that says its gonna be waist high and clean (or green - whatever?), website visits naturally go up. thus generating more buzz and more expensive advertising space. the day of the swell arrives and wouldn't you know it, the swell didn't. happens countless times. the fact of the matter is that, this dude gives a somewhat educated opinion. You cannot forecast for that many areas at once. I question his motivation and you pack of ducks get all bent out of shape. the fact of the matter is that you losers think i insulted your little mens club, which i didn't. btw writing in CAPITAL letters really emphasizes the point.
Good thing the weather channel doesn't have a forum. Their 5 day forecast said it wouldn't rain on my birthday party and it did. They must be in it for the advertising too!
so we either have a troll from another forecasting site OR someone so completely ignorant of weather that it boggles the imagination.
I'll try and explain one last time for mp1. The ups and downs of the forecast updates are based off of the weather model guidance of the pressure systems, not an opinion or attempt to finagle traffic. Don't you think the best way to have a popular FORECAST site, is to be 100% accurate? Of course it is... But, the technology isn't that good YET for any weather business. That is why they call it a prediction.
Here is the only forecast I am 100% certain about (and it might earn me some points toward that free SI t-shirt and maybe a shot at getting on the SI Surf Team and get a free subscription to Swell Info Surf Shred Yeti.. or "SISSY" for short): mp1 will continue to be completely oblivious to anything resembling reality for the foreseeable future. One day he will start the most accurate Communist surf forecasting site in the universe... it will last 3 hours and 21 minutes before he gives up and goes back to the basement.
