Update: From 5-7 the ocean was pumping at Cape May. 5-7ft +. It started off clean and nice but then the wind shifted and now its crazy but still ridable. Biggest wave I saw was 9ft no lie.
yeah, it's summertime..you are allowed to call 4-5 feet- 9-10.. dunno where you were at..9 foot? i surfed ocean city all day and saw nothing bigger than maybe a good head high wave or two.. 9 ft?
i had fun all day dropping into chop monsters but that might have been one of the hardest paddles outs ive ever had
all i know is that, if this acts just like a small tropical system off the coast, or anything like that. The day AFTER should be the best (Sunday)
looking better for OCMD right now. Another good 2nd half of the day geting ready to start up. Should be the best of this swell event for the size. never can be sure if that 2nd and 3rd day will show up around here,..so best to get at it if you can. Winds really backing off.
