Is it worth it go to Long Beach and Surf on monday around 12pm. Havnt surfed since December 10th when it was like 3-5 and its been flat for weeks. Monday shows to be 2+ ft and clean on swellinfo,on Magicseaweed shows 2-3, and surfline only shows 1-2. Is anybody else going to go out monday after not surfing in weeks?

looking pretty bad at 12pm. I'd give it a go at 12:15 but be careful of the sharks in that part of town

i got out for the first time since sandy in the rockaways on saturday. still pretty messed up in these communities so be respectful if you travel to them.. the bottoms and sandbars are still weird.. pulled a big chunk of boardwalk out of the water and other debris still out there so be careful.. water quality seemed good but hard to tell visually.. overall, things aren't back to normal so if you're visiting, don't act like they are..

oh, and monday ain't gonna be 3-4 :p

You never know. Swell info and magic seaweed showed my break at 1-2 foot today. Well, it was 3-4 foot short period but pretty great surfing.

Yesterday the waves were thigh high with the occasional waist high sets... but honestly man I wouldn't dwell on how big it is going to be tomorrow. If there's a bump in the ocean and you think you wanna go for a session, paddle out. Your in LB so it wont make or break your day if you drive down to the beach and check the swell.. Keep an eye on the cams and the winds... the forecast is just that - a forecast. It could be flat as a lake or a little better than predicted... gotta get down there and check it out to be certain. Hope we can get some action tomorrow !

currently all of my cams on Long Island are useless because the thick fog. Ill be checking it out around noon as the front starts to pass so no worries ... And Sunday the surf for central long island was predicted 1-2 ft. I went expecting to sponge and when I got to the beach it was actually 3+ longer period swell, which turned out to be an awesome unexpected morning session.

Some small fun waist high waves today in Monmouth County, nice air temps and not a soul around. I was hoping this would be the case based on other information that I checked but I guess most people thought ankle slappers based on the forecast.
