Photo: Adam Bartoshesky The first sentence says it all..... Seriously, Surfline needs to get a clue and interview REAL LOCAL RIPPERS AND THOSE THAT TAKE PICTURES OF THEM. SURFLINE HAS NO CREDIBILITY, IMO,.. for most anything East Coast related. Obviously, i'm sick of seeing write-ups that that have no truth to them and that in no way represent OCMD or DELMARVA accurately.
Somebody is mad they cant read surf forecasts. Its sad that you rely on the surf description and cant make your own calls. Surfline is the biggest surf forecast website ever and the best by far. In case you have not noticed surfline cares very little for the east coast (especially the mid Atlantic and NE) because they are based in California. There are waves everyday in California and thus that alone is a full time job. Waves on the east coast suck, and its freezing for 8 months out of the year. Surfline is very good for the summer month on the east coast as that is the time when the most people surf. No one cares what your "local rippers" have to say when they post pictures 2 days after the swell. I want to know a week out when the swell is coming and Surfline is the best for that. You are a fool who is confused as to what the purpose of Surfline is.

Yeah. Where's the BEEF? Looks like a pretty damn fun day of surf to me. The waves do pale in comparison to shot #3 of that same feature though.

Surfline's forecasts usually align with swellinfo. At least it seems that way here in the south. MSW is usually the outlier, if any site is to have discrepancies.

Xgen is mad that surfline doesn't want pictures of middle aged men on a boogie board. Seriously though, what's the big deal? I'd rather have zero exposure. You already see more knuckheads showing up to check out certain sides of inlets.

In all honesty it was pretty much a ghost town, I surfed elsewhere Wed, but even Thursday morning on the fading part of the swell there was only a dozen people out even at midtown.
