Yo, Headed down to Sebastian for the annual spring break trip with the wife. We've scored a good swell the last 4 times we have done this trip but this year is looking pretty dismal (ugh) so here is the question. If we are stuck on a longboard riding knee high gutless junk, is there any place around Sebastian that will be more fun on these poor conditions? From my experience, the beach around Spanish House and the inlet has that deep gully so knee high waves just back off and never break. Not even good on a longboard. I have surfed Wabasso and that was super shorey so that wouldn't be it. Any suggestions are helpful or if you can generate a swell somehow that would be better. Cheers--UKE

It been a while since I've been there but I used to head north to Patricks Air Force Base or Satellite Beach for the smaller swells. Keep in mind that Cape Canaveral can block swells with a lot of north in them. If so, Sebastian is probably a better bet unless you really want to travel around. You'll probably get more current info from a few others on here though.
I will be in that neck of the woods next week as well. While it would be nice to score a nice swell, I am just hoping for at least something rideable for my daughters.
+1, This is your best bet, check out Picnic Tables, 2nd Light, and Satellite Beach. Those will be your best bets in a short driving distance, if you aren't afraid to drive a good 30 minutes north, you could head to New Smyrna Beach, it almost always has a rideable wave, even when it's flat everywhere else.
