Has anyone else noticed?

    Perhaps it's the fact that I'm Mac inhibited, but has anyone else noticed lately that the swell info pages are slower than normal to load? Is it too many photos on the server taking up space Micah? If so, feel free to purge all of what I put up- in the interest of the need for speed. (It's sort of like classic Assateague waves- lots of promise, but a typically really weak result)

    Nope!

    I have a mac and a pc and they both work as fast as they ever have. It's def your computer. Throw some stuff out. Empty your porn that you have loaded from the net, that will kill your comp. Plus we have waves again so go surf.

    we had made some server changes on friday night and saturday, which slowed things down until we fixed. Things appear to be running fairly smoothly right now, but the site is getting hit with record traffic due to all the swell activity. A server upgrade will be likely in the near future, so we can handle the growing traffic.

    I'm slow as well - on any connection - loading flash apps. Like the ads on here, and the swell maps. Does it on every webpage. Somethings fishy with it

    ya, the server is definitely struggling right now unfortunately. We are working on an upgrade solution.

    A good problem to have I suppose ;) All the traffic is a result of the great site you've put together. Hope you've had a chance to get out and enjoy the waves!

    just found the site a little while ago. I have to agree it has slowed down slightly but it still kicks the s**t out of the other sites I've come across.
