    Most of you have heard of earth day, but many of you aren't old enough to remember the first one that fateful day back in the 70's. Heres a quick rundown of how it went:


    "while it may be a celebration/holiday now, earth day was originally a day of violence and scorn.

    millions of dirty dirty hippies got together and "demanded change man, like really dude" from their government. Their combined smell overpowered the administration and the synergistic effect of all that dirty wook BO was enough to compound together and start global warming.

    thanks you dirty liberals, enjoy your hippie day."

    Nothing like waking up to a bunch of Al Gore fueled propaganda. Really made my morning. Still feeling the effects from this Global Colding down in Low Country.... I am sure Illinois and Minnesota are pissed about this overheating world that we live in =)

    I think earth day falls about 2 days too late. if you know what I mean. Looking at you hippies.

    I second that, remove the political and the hippy angles...we should really live every day like it was Earth day. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH JESUS. IMPACT THE COAST FOR THE COAST.

    I try to make everyday earth day. Every normal person tries their best to leave the earth in better shape than they found it, within reason. I don't need a special day to feel self righteous as I join arms with my fellow brain dead masses. Masses that follow Poliiticians who use the so called love of the planet to rally support to push a political agenda.To twist the honorable goal of a healthy environment into a back handed attempt at disarming the populous and redistributing their wealth.

    my mom was pretty awesome.she kept me home from school,drove us to the beach and we picked up garbage.it was a cold,crappy,day,the first earth day at the jersey shore.
