The man didn't hassle you much before 9/11, right? So can you understand why you might get patted down after the incident in 2001? There's a connection there. I have only flown to Canada a couple of times since then, but it wasn't any problem. Plus, the man isn't forcing you to fly. If getting patted down for your safety and those around you is a problem then don't fly. Take a train like NJ TRANSIT or a boat. NJ Transit....the bus, the train, the way to go.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT, all of these dudes who are complaining aboot the martial law in Boston, would be scared to death if some dudes where running around their town bent on destruction. They'd be pleading for the cops to protect them...........welcoming them to search their homes.

And yeah Zach, those "IN HOUSE" restrictions wouldn't even be headed in Baltimore, Philly, or New York. Shucks, probably 70% of Philly residents wouldn't have even know a bomb went off downtown. Nobody in those neighborhoods would have stayed in their homes. Boston is a tamer animal...a more refined locale.

 

Oh please anyone who remotely compares Obama to Hitler should go back to kindergarten and start all over....

 

I have flown twice in the past 6 months and neither time was I ever searched or patted down, nothing more than putting my stuff in a bucket to get screened and walking through the metal detector, that's it. I think I can deal with taking my shoes off for 30 seconds and then putting them back on, i'll live. Also, I didn't even witness anybody getting searched either. So things are as bad as some may claim, at least not everywhere.

 

You mean they are going to kill 6,000,000 of our Jews?!?! That's terrible!

Here's a little history lesson for you... A couple of weeks ago 2 young brothers blew up bombs at the Boston Marathon. A manhunt ensued, 1 got killed and they caught the other in a boat.

Yeah, I didn't get searched either. Biggest hassle was taking of my shoes. Wow, big deal. Maybe these guys on here who are complaining are of Middle Eastern descent? I don't know. The biggest problem with air travel is trying to keep your drinking in-check.

I flew 2-4 times a week from 2006 to 2009, and never once had a bad experience with airport security. I probably only got a pat down one time, and that was because my shoes had diesel residue on them (I do a lot of diesel engine development).

 

Very true, gotta make sure to keep ample amounts of liquor in the system to facilitate in the sleeping process to try and block out the screaming crying bastard child in front of you that the mother can't seem to control in the least bit. On the otherhand, there was a guy at the bar next to the terminal just before departure that was absolutely bombed and was cut off by the bartender at the request of his embarrassed wife. I then saw the same guy passed out on a seat by baggage claim in the Aguadilla airport just after landing. Can't take some people anywhere...

Hey, I'm surprised there isn't a thread aboot the Floridian who got shark attacked this weekend. Go figure, I thought people would be all over that. Wasn't looking forward to that. The kid did a great service to us all, in making surfers look mentally challenged, and scaring away those who might partake. He was all stoked aboot getting attacked, once he deemed it non-life threatening. Send him a get well card. I believe he told reporters it was "Pretty Cool" to get attacked. Nice. That's what we need. The surfer image of the vagabond, outlaw moron needs to be reinstated.

I think most regulars are sick of the topics appearing on this forum now a days. But heck I can't speak for others but... lets face it.... this Boston Bombers thread has pretty much jumped the shark a long time ago.

First of all, the term, "Jump the Shark" has, ummm, ummmm, for lack of better terms, Jumped the Shark. Its almost as sissy as using the word "troll."

Plus, it's a lot better than talking about ducking 12 foot waves in which most of the participants have never seen a wave over, maybe, 8 foot. More likely, 6 foot.

First of all the Patriot Act was signed into law by Bush Jr. The NDAA by Obama. Our chief commanders answer to their supporters. I E global financial institutions, they are the ones who run the show.

Do you have a degree? If the answer is no, then I am not sure what I am supposed to prove. You comments on here already point to a complete lack of understanding in the world of scientific research. You make wild claims without links to any perr reviewed studies or hard data. You are great at stating your opinion and talking down to others, but you never back your opinions. Maybe the Kiwis work in a whole different system than the rest of the world?
