that's where the hindu honeys & 23 footers are, brahhh. your just mad cause new jersey is the best state in the state, needless i say more. To it's their own.
NJ is pretty much the best on the East Coast, but doesn't compare to Hawaii. So other states have been saying it sucks because it doesn't compare to Hawaii, even though it is still better than their states. It also probably has the highest population of surfers.
Not sure but the best places on the east coast are defiantly Outer Banks, New Jersey...and thats about it lol.
Swellinfo, can we get a factual statistic for this? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that 80% is not even close.
Now that the regions on the forum have been unified there is a lot more cross-mingling, but it used to be that the mid-atlantic section was the only really active part of the forum. Even now, 8516 of 15372 threads have been posted in the mid-atlantic section. My feeling was that part of the forum broke down about 50% jersey, 20% VA, 20% MD/DE, 5% NY, and 5% Outer banks.
You guys are posers from OBX. No way that's as good as Jersey. Jersey is best place in US other than mavericks. Maverick's or Mavericks is a surfing location in Northern California, USA. It is located approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) from shore outside Pillar Point Harbor, just north of the town of Half Moon Bay at the village of Princeton-By-The-Sea. After a strong winter storm in the northern Pacific Ocean, waves can routinely crest at over 25 feet (7.6 m) and top out at over 80 feet (24 m). The break is caused by an unusually shaped underwater rock formation. Maverick's is a winter destination for some of the world's best big wave surfers. Very few riders become big wave surfers; and of those, only a select few are willing to risk the hazardous, sometimes deadly, conditions at Maverick's. An invitation-only contest is held there most winters, when the waves come.
It would take a bunch of work to bring up any meaningful forum statistics. There are a lot of NJ people on here, but its not that high. 5 Most popular states that use Swellinfo (not just forum) over the past month are: 1. Florida 2. New Jersey 3. New York 4. North Carolina 5. California
