just some interesting read http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/hurricane-season-2013-forecast-175638720.html
Don't they do this every year? It's good for business if they tell everybody to "watch out, it's going to be a busy hurricane season", keeps ratings high on TV and keeps people visiting their website.
So ridiculous...was just on there and there's a "rip current advisory" for RI today and tomorrow...supposed to be 3-5 ft.
That's for the summer pros who haven't surfed all winter, they're going to get their asses handed to them hahahaha
"Climate factors—including warmer-than-average water temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean—contributed to 2013's active forecast, the NOAA said." Uhhhhhh huh? http://www.nodc.noaa.gov/dsdt/cwtg/satl.html East coast is still below average for this time of year guys. Sooooo what your sayin is..... BULLSH*T
Okay, okay, I agree, they do say this crap every year. So, here, this is actually more interesting. LOL http://www.hurricane-facts.com/Interesting-Hurricane-Facts.php
Chantal is a good name- as well as 2007 We also got some nice early season swells from a "Chantal" in 1995. Man the summer of 95 had so many tropical swells
1995: Felix! The storm that gave and gave and gave! Sat and spun off Cape Hatteras for a week. Far enough out to miss the wind, close enough in to PUMP!
Republican Science: "I don't believe in warmer-than-average water temperatures in the Atlantic Ocean BECAUSE THE WATER WAS COLD TODAY AT MY BREAK"
