Yeah. That polio vaccine is horrible so much better when thousands died from polio.
And that's the problem with conspiracy theorists. When everything is a conspiracy you lose your audience. You're just the guy crying wolf.
Vaccines are a good thing. GMO may be bad. You can't blanket everything as bad and corrupt

 

Paranoid schizophrenia is not so uncommon. However, I still think the guy owns a natural foods or natural remedies company. I also don't consider what he does research. I think he reads a lot of conspiracy websites and takes it all as the truth.

I don't use the flu vaccine, and I am well aware of the strains of influenza that are resistant. I run every day and eat fairly healthy foods, so I never get the flu. I do think it is a good thing for people with autoimmune issues.
It is sad that people like you ignore stats showing how many lives various vaccines have saved, yet you latch on to things like vaccines containing a fraction of a ppm of random chemicals.

 

You get those from conspiracy websites. You never just use facts. You mix it all together and pick out the things you don't like without getting the big picture.

 

It's true that people grasp onto ideas without contemplating their validity. It's as if they naively assume no one would misdirect them.

I think TV is partly to blame. People watch their propaganda boxes so often that they have learned to associate what happens there with reality. Sure they can tell an obvious fiction (TV program) from fact (News and Weather, for example). Where they fail is discerning fiction that is presented as facts. If something is presented as fact, they take for granted it must be the case that what they are seeing is true.

One result of that is then people get onto the internet and watch these ridiculous youtube videos created by bored college drop outs and take what they are shown as valid without doing two things. The first thing they should do is figure out who benefits from the ideas presented in the video (or article), and then research the facts that were presented to see if they were embellishments or out right misinformation. It's really easy to cherry pick 'facts' and create delusional realities for those that are willing to accept such madness without individually determining their validity.

 

I don't disagree with the fact that FDA is corrupt and that they are heavily influenced by private industry. What I do disagree with is that people DEPEND on them to figure out what is right or not. Oh the FDA says it's OK, well that means it must be OK then.

That's the crux of my argument. We (the people) want the FDA to figure it all out for us so we don't have to be responsible. Tell me if it's safe almighty FDA!

Or we could all take some personal responsibility and realize that the people running the show don't always have the best advice or access to data. They are presented data that is often heavily biased and they are persuaded by smooth talking industry men that what they are being presented is truthful. Of course money is usually involved in that persuasion in one way or another.

So once you realize that, that profit margins dictate government regulation, then you can stop depending on them to tell you the truth and you can look for your own truth. If you feel better eating non GMO food then do it. If you think GMO soy is the most heart healthy thing you can eat then you eat it. It's a matter of personal choice.

I wish people were forced to use vaccines for most things. Not so much flu vaccines, but no place I have ever been required flu vaccination.

 

If it was a good thing, why spend a bunch of dollars paying off people hired to help us?
