Similar to the old Steve Allen 'Man On the Street' interviews that Leno picked up on & also performed.

What's really unfortunate is these people (on the vid) are breeding.

Wow, we truly are a nation of idiots, what a shame. And Yankee, that is a very scary and unfortunate fact indeed, which is why I have to gracefully bow out of perpetuating my lineage.

I saw this a few days ago. Mark Dice is a good person for doing this.

Certainly has entertainment value. As for being a good person? Jeeez, maybe not so much. The guy is a media-hounding, attention-seeking conspiracy maniac on a lot of topics, e.g., 9/11 was an "inside job," the Illuminati, the Bilderbergs, Bohemian Grove, and many more. Dice sees a conspiracy behind your morning cup o' joe.

It is what it is, but I think that Mark Dice is right even up with the Gnome in terms of self-aggrandizement & narcissistic ravings.

Good god, do you young guys on here know what it means? Without cheating and looking it up on google? Who the the heck are these people? If the majority of people in the country are like those people we are doomed, although I still believe that the silent majority still have it together.

With all the easy access to information, it's amazing how very stupid we've become. A nation of morons. At least this seems to be the case if based on the responses of the people questioned.

This might be used as yet another example of "Why China is Kicking our Ass". Unfortunately, it seems that people know more about the useless Kardashians than our country's history and its patriotic values. The TV nowadays is like an open sewer dumping its mindless sh** into our living rooms.
IMO, we generally have it too easy, with no understanding of (or interest in) the sacrifices that were made to make this country great.
I'll get off my soap box.

I may disagree. i'll just pick one. the Bilderberg group. are you saying it doesn't exist? or are you saying the world's elite and most powerful get together to throw a few back and have some laughs?

there are secret societies. JFK warned America of their influence and dangers.

Wow. Hear you loud & clear, Archy. The world's out to get ya, eh bud? Esp those people of a certain persuasion, ahem, boyo.

You cite your buoy JFk....yeah, what an authority....the man who was hiking the skirts up of female reporters & boinking them on his desk in the Oval Office (lending new meaning to the 'oval' in the 'oval office')....the man who was running the world's most powerful nation whilst stoned out of his gourd on wacky elixirs injected into him by his own private Rasputin, the man who blew the Cuban Invasion, the man who established exactly zero domestic policies in his time in office (but hey he photographed well!), the man who made private deals with the Mafia in order to scam the 1960 vote, then re-neged on those fells, and ultimately died for his transgressions....that's the guy who you're citing as the authority on the web of conspiracies that rule the planet....?!?

Let us know when the black helos touch down, ok? Remember: we're on YOUR side!

Kennedy wasn't stoned out of his gord. Contrary to popular misconception, you can function quite well on opiates. He was midly medicated for his pain issues. I rather have a president on opiates than alcohol, that's fer sure .

All world leaders do sex with women folk. All world leaders take advantage of the position of power they hold.

Domestic policies weren't a priority at the time. As long as you were white, things were pretty ok on the homefront. I'm not claiming to be a JFK expert, but I reckon if I looked I could find one domestic policy/plan/legislation that occured under Kennedy. Shoot, I think I could find two or three if I looked hard enough.

Mafia-rigged elections? Now that's just pure conspiarcy right there. And besides, there's no such thing as the mafia, not in the 60's or now. That's all just a TV thing. Trust me.

I would just comment that it is the inclination of citizens to rationalize the behavior of poli-toucans as the reason why they get away with it - - and is a major reason why such poor leadership aspects, across the board, continues to this day, amigo.

As for legislation: it was LBJ that rammed the 60's stuff through, not JFK. True, your boy from Hahvahd didn't have much time to do anything before he was picked off. But credit where credit is due....

Well Mr. Yankee, sad to say, but politics doesn't really breed fine, moral citizens. It takes a certain kind of douchiness to succeed in the political arena.

Now I hear ya mack, aboot how the masses just accept the status quo and the world keeps chugging along. But people tend to be complacent these days. Yankee, have you seen the flat screen TV's and all the cable and other viewing options we have out there now. Not to mention.......THE INTERNET. Who can be bothered getting involved when GIRLS is on? Side note: Lena Dunham sucks donkey ^%$#.

So, people complain and still vote for party A or party B, and nothing's going to change. Maybe I'll start a revolution some day. I always wanted some hippy college kids, forty years down the road, to wear a shirt with my face on it ala Che Guevara.

Thanks for the discussion Mr. Yankee. I'll have you know I wasn't being an antagonist or nothin', as I respect your keen mind and sharp tongue(ahhh sharp typing should I say).

Ok, fellas I'm going for some stuffed shells. Ahhhh, it's June, I spent 30 minutes in mushy, closed-out two footers, and now it's stuffed shell eatin' time. WHOOO HOOOO. Ahh man, someone cue that Fresh Prince SUMMER song.........

Nothing, in terms of Americans & their perceptions of their 'way of life' and their 'standard of living' & the behavior of poli-toucans is different today from then, nothing. Some things today are worse, and some are better.

A man makes his own way in life, taking his pleasures as he finds them. It's a short ride. Best to be enjoyed.

Stuffed shells....now you're talkin' some good eatin.'

Mr. Yankee, I'm going to have to challenge something. I think Americans of previous generations were way more active in enacting civil change. Much more likely to get involved.....to do something aboot things.

You're entitled to your opinion, of course; I respect that. It's an opinion, nothing more nothing less. I'm not here to attempt to sway your opinion.

'Back in the day' a very small percentage of Americans were Freedom Riders, a tiny percentage of Americans were involved with civil rights changes and a miniscule percentage of the American gen pop were involved in election reform, prison reform, gender equality, LGBT rights, banning DDT, tobacco research, fund raising for battles against MS, ALS, leukemia, breast cancer, Alzheimer's; numerous other societal aspects that fall under your blanket term of "social change."

Comparing eras, the numbers of participants of back in the day were absolutely smaller than the numbers of today's participants. So, I respect your opinion but it doesn't stand up to reality, IMHO.

Btw, I'm def with Hanna on the Mafia thing. On that topic, you're just flapping your gums when you say that it doesn't exist, et. al.
    "Trust me."

That stuff has been around as long as anti-semitic thinking has been around. It's taken on new life, and new loons, with websites like the one you posted. People who follow this stuff typicall think their own misfortune and / or lack of opportunity is always someone else's fault. The conspiracy wingnuts rant & rave about this on various websites such as the one you've brought onto this forum.

Believe what you want. Just know that you sound the thwunk of ignorami when you proselytize it.
