Wow. No way the OP was for real. Breaking a kid's board? I'm all for "eye for an eye" regulation. However, if this were real then it would've been far outta line. Break a dude's board if he breaks yours & won't apologize & pay for it. If he almost hits you but doesn't, then he didn't hit you. Almost only counts in horseshoes & nuclear warfare. A 17yr old either mowed a crap ton of lawns for that board or stole it. Either way, you'd have killed the one thing he loved. OC's been around for about a year, I'm sure he got "hazed" as a new member... as did you. I think it was sometime between my first and third post on SI that I was called a hippy and that the best way for me to help save the world was to off myself. Ahhh, the good ole days. That was back when Aguaholic and MATT JOHNSON were around, back when we were forumally segregated by region and users would troll other region's forums for entertainment. Hell, that even predates the original formative conversations about engineering pizza plants and Bogeton Wolftucks.
I was out at the pier the other day and some elderly woman dropped in on me. I was on my long board so I took took off made a bottom turn snuck up behind her and tackled her. I screamed at her like the drill sergeant in full metal jacket. She got smart so I bit her ear off. Then I put it on a necklace as a warning to all the other kooks.
Point is there are other ways to deal with getting snaked. Breaking. Board is just over aggressive IMO

Every year I bring some sea snakes back from Fiji during my and Emassspicoli's quarterly surf banaza. I release them out at my local break (wherever I surf I'm a local) when things get out of line. You snake me, I snake you.
