Spicoli, not sure what definition of Masshole you're working with but I would count those pr*cks as Massholes. According to the following definition from Urban Dictionary at least:

N: Generalized term for a resident of Massachusetts......has evolved to mean any obnoxious loudmouth. The most genuine Massholes are so ignorant and belligerent that they think Masshole is a compliment.

A Masshole takes pride in his aggressive and illegal driving habits. They are too cool to use turn signals. They will nearly wreck you as they cut you off pulling out of the local strip mall, and then drive 30 miles an hour in a 55 zone while they try to light their cigarette while screaming at their children.

A Masshole's car could be a brand new BMW or a beat up 88 Chevy Caprice. It will probably have a "My Kid is an Honor Student" sticker and a sticker endorsing some Irish or Italian local politician you've never heard of.

If you apply and don't make the cut (very few do) then enlist and go either active or reserves and try to go LDO or CWO from active or SELRES. OCS has about a 1% acceptance rate. As with anything else, if you really want to be in the Navy then you will get in the Navy. That is, unless you are DQ'd for any one of many reasons. I'd start your research now because this is a very lengthy process over many months through your ASVAB and MEPS.

Why do you want to be in the Navy? How much do you know about the Navy? It's where you belong if you want to be there for reasons intrinsic to the duty as if no one else is watching or assigning you valor. If the romanticism of the Navy is why you think you want it, you'll be weeded out before long in the process, which is helpful to both the nation and your own life. You don't want to abandon your professional career only to be a drop-out or wash-out in Basic. That's a waste of both military funding and your own time.
