Last time I checked, passports were a given for anyone who's traveling to different nations to surf. If we look at the roll call of destinations in just a few of your posts today, we'd guess that you'd need a new passport book from too many stamps in the former one.

$70 each way, yeah, it's a ferry. You been to Nantucket yet?

10 hour drive from where? I could say that SD is a 50 hour ride from here in Boston.

Where in southern NE do you now reside? Maybe I can throw on a white rash guard, grab a skimmy, and meet up with you at a local break to fight over mush peaks.

Well, you have "pals" who fight international drug smuggling.............?

No, I don't have a Jersey accent. A "Jersey" accent refers to North Jersey. I have a Philadelphia accent.....like, I say "wooder" instead of "water." I don't say "New Joiysey." That crap is up north and I don't play with North Jersey/New York.

All drugs are "gnarly" and b!tchen. Man, don't they drug test you guys. Well, I'm contacting my congressman to get you guys all tested.

I don't have a pedophile username. That is my name. Anyways, no one under 35 knows who the hell Paddington is.

How come Santa Cruz people think they are cool and bad? They listen to rap and think they are street-wise and tough. Ha. I just don't understand it.

Man, Flea, Barney, Ruffo, they ain't bad. F Vince Collier too. Talk aboot emo hipsters, man, SC is all granola and crunchy with a thin "tough" guy coating. WEST SIDE !! WEST SIDE !!

Yo, intead of providing free entertainment for some and annoying others, if you want to keep trading insults send me a message or give me your email address.

from victoria, the ferry terminal, it is a long way to tofino. 10 hrs.
and where did i claim to have been to anywhere needing a passport besides canada? the roll call is in response to a list of 'westcoast' name drops. and for throwing puerto in there. the TOPIC was the NW. yes, i think the east coast beachbreaks, pound for pound, are better then most westcoast beachbreaks.
no natucket yet. but can't wait. maybe i'll see you there with your white rash guard and a 'skimmy'?

Clemmy, awesome tip to the Man in Black.

My man PB&J couldn't go too long for his next title defense after the match between him and SUPeracrosstheway fell through and they became brahs.

Love this stuff. Nothing wrong with a good challenge now and then and "checking the account balance" of those who's mouths are writing rather large checks.

PB&J, my dog...funny you mentioned Lowell (when meaning Lynn) when we were exchanging PMs the other day because they say "wooder" there and actually call their hometown "Lole". There must have been a caravan of So. Jerz/Philly folk to the Mill City at some point. Much different from surrounding Massholes from only a couple miles away, but those cats can back their talk up. Mickey Ward is the Pride of Lole.

i can definitely agree about all the methside characters you listed. not a fan either. im from midtown and don't play that west/east ****. i surf all over, but mostly surf the north coast when in town. barney is a nice guy though and doesn't play that sh!t. never seen him act like a d!ck to anyone.

clam down internet tough guy. this is entertainment at this point. take your meds (or whatever you call them) and realize this is a 'surf discussion'. im sure we have a lot in common, but not a big deal that we disagree about how good the PNW is to live if you want good surf.

Mr. Clemson, first of all I look forward to Thanksgiving, now this was NOT a "meet me at my break" post. I'm trying to be considerate to the types who don't like the bickering. Look some people like it, some don't. So, I am merely being considerate. Not much of a spat anyways, but I'm just being considerate.

And you mentioned, "Meet me at my break" before, but said you weren't talking aboot me. Well, yes, I did offer to meet some people on here but NEVER at my break. Hells no. Philly, Camden or AC.

And there were no violent overtones to it neither. I purely offered people who had to constantly engage me in discourse a chance to do it in person. It didn't mean fight. I don't fight. I am NEVER setting foot in a court of law again. But squabbling on a computer is lame. If someone has such a problem with someone, then do it in person, right?

I mean, I'll meet anybody on here to debate.........to smoke up.........to surf................ well not anybody. To eat Thanksgiving dinner or suppahhhhh............

The cyber world sucks. Except for this site. Man, I don't even look at internet pornography. That's incredible. Man, can you imagine the filth on some of these dudes keyboards? Now that's a shocking thought right there.

And actually, thanks Atlantic0, just yesterday, I was thinking of how I was losing interest in this place........and you gave me a shot of the old squabble to make me realize how special this place is.

i agree... good times. i knew some PNW lovers would chime in about how great it is. and for the most part, they're right. but i wouldn't LIVE there to surf. just visit here and there. i do like some of the pics others have posted. makes me want to dig up my stash of PNW pics.

    Suppahhh kidd!!!!

PB&J, don't even joke around like that about leaving here. You know it's a part of you and you a part of it. I know that you know that, so I don't even think that you're a bit serious.

Clemmy, I best be invited to Thanksgiving part deux. My lobstah bake went off quite well and they can be arranged at any time. PB&J and I could chair the Northeast SI chapter for meet-ups. Non-violent group meet-ups, that is. Individual "battle" type meet-ups are legal and encouraged on a rolling, impromtu basis between the two parties. They've got to be decisive, however, and always have a victor. Resulting bromance post-confrontation is most certainly allowed.

Pardon me, but I just skimmed this post (not the same as skimming a peak), and saw the following words: stash, pics, pornography.

Did I drop-in on the wrong wave here? Sorry, brahs! I'll paddle to another section.

Ok I'm leaving for the afternoon so this is your last dose......

Dude, why does it make me a "tough guy" if I call-out Santa Cruz types, and if I ax to move any bickering off a public forum that houses a bunch of uptight people who get all bent when people bicker? Look I know some of you guys love the arguments, and I, of course love you, too, but there are the complainers out there who will start whinning soon. You gotta submit material that is approved by them. So out of consideration I ax that any proceeding squablles be done in a private setting............and jeez, "internet tough guy?". Ha, son, I'm as weak on here as I am in person. I don't have dual personalities.

Jeez, I'm getting wayyyyyyyy too nice these days. Maybe Jesus was right.

I actually dig you Atlantic0 because you got spunk and can throw back with real insults and not just playground insults. Man, the dude alluded that I was a sex perv. That always hits hard, ya know.

I mean, the PNW isn't as user friendly as Manasquan Inlet.....that's THE MANASQUAN INLET in Monmouth County, NJ, but I would bet that it at least has as many good days per year as Deal, NJ does......that's DEAL, NJ......up north aways......and the PNW offers something new geographical and aethestically for a born-and-bred east coaster. Look dude, it's nice having some wilderness in a surf, without staring at hotels and boardwalks.....Ya dig Ponyboy?

Thanks for the discourse, Atlantic0. I love you very much.

It's probably 200 miles from Victoria, why would you go from there when Nanaimo (a place way underrated) is probably half that from Tofino and how does 200 miles take 10 hours to drive? Maybe taking the ferry from Seattle area to Vic is faster, but I like the drive up 5 over the border. If you stay away from the downtown grid, you're ok on traffic. It's been 5 years since I've been out/up there, but I used to go to VI all the time both heading into YVR and Sea-Tac.

Border crossings have tightened up quite a bit over the last few years so passports are implicit for any intra-continental men of mystery like yourself.

Nantucket, I highly recommend. Much less nose raising than the Vineyard, and much calmer. I haven't been out there since last September but I'll definitely be heading back once or twice over the next few months. Can't beat a place with immense natural beauty that has both good waves and the liberty to drive your truck onto the sand and tailgate out of the back. Talk about a "lineup". A photo looking down the beach on a great day in the summer in ACK says it all - rows of 4x4s, rows of waves, and rows of babes.

Glad you give love to the pound for pound strength of da right coast. Unfortunately, the last few weeks, it's barely been ounces let alone pounds. Try to hit a good break here lately and all you're left to do is pound sand.

Oh Spicoli, didn't say leaving........just said losing interest.......but that's always sporadic and and can change instantly....just look at today.

    You are alright, Spicoli.

Maybe, I was losing interest because you seemed a bit refrained and silent the past few days? Spicoli has a way with words. I stopped writing because of him. Why bother? What's the point?

Now, what you see here isn't "writing"(from me). This is how I speak. So, when y'all read this sh!t, it's like you are actually speaking to me. I know, pretty exciting, huh. Ok, ok I don't say "aboot" that much but yeah..............I do say, " DUDE" probably even more than I type on here. It's nature's most perfect word.

And thanks MattyBrews for starting the PNW topic and Archy for the "Ruin Surfing" topic. Man, I just love you guys so much.

lol. that was a low blow with the username comment. i was reaching there. no pun intended. i guess this thread made me relive the nightmare of paddling forever, being a mile off the beach, only to see a wash-through set feathering 200-300 yards further out. or getting that sinking feeling your being hunted by a damn sea-monster. which trumps the emo-hipsters any day. but at least they're no threat to wave count.

Good to hear, brah! Don't think my browser would be registering 4 digits in hits for this site per day if you left. Maybe only the high 3's in that case.

I was enjoying the weekend and start to the week by giving my time to some others in dutiful fashion. Before that, it was the eight crazy nights of Patriotic cheer. Such instances are capable of dropping my daily post count down to below 25.

Heard that on the speech through prose thing. That's why I/we run into such difficulty with the printed word and others' understanding of our thoughts. If graphically represented, our brain activity would be like the beats per minute on the meatiest EDM trancecore track compared to Hells Bells (everyone else's brain).

My use of "dude" ebbs and flows. At best, I use it as a noun (proper and improper), predicate, prepositional phrase, and neologic improvisation.

PB&J is feeling the love on hump day. Good man.

the 200 miles isn't what it seems. the road go's to the east side of vancouver island for a while like you said. although im sure lots of people beat the **** out of their cars and rally out there faster. it's the main reason why half, if not most people lurking around for surf in WA state have canadian plates.

Is English your first language, brah!

Must be some kind of winding country road over-crowded as hell (to the point of an NJ break on a day the Shredmaster is putting on a clinic) to have to drive 20mph for 10 hours straight.
