sure, surfing is just like indoor volleyball. lol. do you work? i'll assume you do. how do people usually react when somebody with limited interest/experience walks through the door and gets, and or expects, the same pay/benifits as those who have been around a while and paid their dues?
The volleyball drop-in night, was just what I thought was a similar comparison. Laugh at it if you wish. One court (instead of 1 surf break) mixed skill level participation, and an tight inside clique of advanced players sharing 1-2 hrs. of gametime with some newcomers/outsiders. Pretty close cooreleation it seems to me. I really don't get the work place/pay scale cooreleation at all though, sorry. Experienced surfers shares break with inexperienced surfer. Instead of snaking all waves and and catching 20 waves an hour to inexperience zero (because all waves were snaked), Experienced surfer is courteous and he instead catches 10 waves and hour and the inexperienced might be lucky to catch 1 or 2 tops if actually allowed to enter lineup? So its either $200K to zero pay or $100K per year to $10K per year salary. There's your payscale coorelation I guess. I'm just talking about human decency and common courtesy both ways in the give respect/get respect quote.
It's this kumbaya communist attitude that is causing the moral and social decay of society as we know it. Every one gets a prize, everyone takes a turn on the peak, how about every wave is a party wave. Next thing you know we'll have dogs and cats sleeping together. I'm just sayin".
it was a bit of a stretch. but waves are a limited resource. good surfers always burn inland beginners. beginner/inlander couldn't go down the beach? i remember last winter surfing a peak down the beach, had been waiting awhile for a wave, and 3 kooks for whatever reason decide to paddle out right on me. why? to be honest, i wasn't caring to much until they instantly started thinking they're up without waiting their turn. so i just burned the sh!t out of them over and over. they had not the slightest inclination they created that situation. why do people feel so entitled to instant gratification? just wait your turn, or go surf down the beach if you can't do that. everybody happy
Yeah, as Antatico stated the realy enemy of course is just limited resources and too many people and not enough space or infrequent quality waves. I just think less experienced should be educated civilily by the more experienced...not "teach them a lesson" in an aggro way as 1st means. Misbehaving or disrespectful people...sure teach 'em a lesson. There's a difference. I still think a majority of all the kooks, SUPs, fisherman, tourists, etc. that make most surfers angry can have their problems resolved peacefully with more communication and education of the clueless. Sure there are some arrogant fools that deserve a hollering or even a beatdown, but I'd bet they are really a very small minority. Cordial education and advice first, then feel free to go aggro as the next step if they don't listen.
try giving kooks a 'civil lesson'. never works. people who don't know the rules always assume it has something to do with 'localism' no matter how polite you are. just doesn't work like that in the real world. people are generally too selfish to consider their actions. most of the crybabies just started surfing anyhow. but, by no means should anyone get violent over things though. waves aren't worth hurting people over and it never ends well for anyone. i agree sisdurfdogg, to many fruity goons expecting instant gratifcation and equal share with little or no effort. i know every generation has said it, but d*nm kids (and many adults) have become tender little p*ssies.
yall are stupid why dont you just surf and enjoy it instead of *****ing all the time or make threads that are relivent to surfing just ignore people who are rude, i mean seriously what are they going to do kick my ass? i dont think so haha be aggro as you want to be in the line up your just going to look like a dooshe. and if theres a beginner dont hate just give them guidance, i mean yall are turning surfing this into science and sarcasm on this forum.
maybe so, but you also don't have to follow the thread. im glad you did though. more fuel! start your own thread if you don't like it or just keep paddling kook. yall? put your teeth back in and speak the kings english.
haha you dumb yankee dont start something you cant finish btw get out in the water sometime instead of trying to shed a surf forum
These days I wouldn't worry too much about a Gracie, all the good ones are well past their primes. The ones coming up are straight garbage, anybody seen Roger Gracie "fight"? Terrible representation of the Gracie family, he should be ashamed of himself. Sure he can grapple in a BJJ tourney, but that aint FIGHTING.
Hahaha, staying outta the civil war re-enactments but kings english had me laughing. *No offense sandblasters, you're good people.
Amen brother, i don't wanna toot my horn too much but someone on here can vouch that I called that sh*t... sooo glad he finally got his beating.
im not so sure he'll get caught with his finger up own ass next time though, can only hope. as sandblasters would say "that'll learn yall!"
just playing around sandblasters. some of my favorite people to hangout with are pretty damn country fried, backwood, snaggle-toothed dudes. seldom seen is right... civil war re-enactments suck. besides, it's friday, beers get cracked earlier than usual when it's flat.
