it had nothing to do w kolohe. but riots did start, and from the vids on Surfline, it looked like a bunch of kids. its pretty sad to see the youth act on such low frequencies. kicking over porta johns, starting fights, and breakin windows. they all have smiles on their faces. people act like herd animals they will be treated like herd animals. in the end its the slaughterhouse.

Apparently someone threw a ketchup bottle into the crowd from a 2nd story bar and that's what started it. -Archy is spot-on in his analysis.
A clear example of mob mentality. That ketchup bottle could've disfigured a person's face if not far worse. Courts don't take these events lightly. They're unfortunately somewhat common occurrences on larger college campuses. These kids are pure geniuses giving law enforcement face recognition of them on the act. No way out of that one for them.
those people weren't even surfers for the most part. looked like the fans at a raiders game to me. know what im sayin'? not really a riot either. why didn't the cops stop those f*ck-heads? way too passive on the part of the police. seems the only thing HB cops know how to do is write tickets.

So, no fires, no overturned cars, and no molotov cocktails. Just some random, teenage white and hispanic kids kicking over porta-potties and they call that a riot? That was an average Saturday night when I was growing up.
watch the youtube vids. majority of em were inland kooks. dudes are yelling "909!" LOL. they don't look like surfers to me. maybe huntington should import cops from Egypt. or just stop running the US Open all together. such a boring contest.
yeah really, this contest has pretty much sucked as far as waves go. its just pure marketing by the action sports co.s. while they are prob not stoked on the so called riot, they sure are stoked on the sheep that came out for it.
so right. no conspiracy there. such a shameless, crappy event aimed at conspicuous consumers. even when there is swell it sucks.
