Anyone else find this photo posted in the gallery a bit fishy? image.jpg I hope I'm wrong, and all apologies in advance, but it looks photoshopped. If its real? then this is a great photo.

What, brah, you don't know the visual definition of a hollow wave?

Na really, good find. I'd be interested to know as well. Still got a ton to learn about everything including wave and ocean dynamics. Is it possible for a wave so thin to spit hollow like that? Never mind that far which looks to be out half to all of its height in width/reach. I've seen lips that are as thick as how tall the face is, but seems that any wave with the power needed to tube needs a lip with a lot more volume and density then a transparent one. Not even sure I've seen a 12-inch transparent lip in Mushtertonville, New England.

We are at the age of Adobe Creative Suite 6.5 or more last I checked. From 2 or 3 and on you could do some pretty wild stuff without years of GD schooling or even a lot of plug-ins to PS. This is either a sick natural phenomenon of something cool I don't know about (like what panties the Olive Garden waitress is sporting) but totally do want the skinny on, or it's just another catfish job. Call in the experts, but this probably doesn't even need one.

Begs the question, how many other photos in the library (and on any surf site) are doctored? The advent of Quick Selection tool came into the game a few PS versions ago and blows away Magic Wand. Not to get PB&J all hot and bothered if he's got sold out seats to hear him speak this evening (like he will in Waves Not Graves in a week), but even an amateur could show quickly render a convincing pic of Kate Middleton hanging five on a milder day at Pipe while giving pain-free birth to the Golden Child as the Royal Medics are close by on a Euro-spec Sea-Doo. Kate's got no prob hanging the full ten but the natural birth specialist (sea birth=epitome of nature) and Parliamentary Office of Science & Technology (POST) both agreed that the soon to arrive cherub's added weight to KM's already buxom, yet svelte front half would pose a mechanical danger during execution of the maneuver of nose riding to the concurrent maneuver of bringing royal blood into the world.

Wait...so the royal lad is by law American in that case??? He could be U.S. President in 2048 when PB&J's 6th term is finished. Staaaarchyyyyy....you smell somethin' a brewin'??? Move over Monsanto, the North Shore may have far bigger issues now to an imperial level. What's Fast Eddie say bout this? Won't fly with him, not a chance. Then Aussies would no longer be haole.

God is the Dutchess Kate a fired hazard. Even in a ravaged postpartum state. She's an 18 on the Southern scale.

Nice catch Mook. It's like a mini shadow man ripping on a nice knee high peeler. Why would someone even bother wasting their time on that?

Damn. I guess the beta version of the RC shredding gnome was a huge hit so they went past the prototype into real-looking surfers. Are they selling them stateside yet or just in China? That's for in the bathtub/fishtank when there's no pavement available for the Carver on the flat wave days. Double backup.

As a graphic designer, yep, PSD. The scale is wrong, light too. Top of the wave is the give away.

My guess, it's one of those teenie tiny, mind surf, shore break waves. Surfer is "dropped" in.

The kids in this photo here are having lots of fun on Cape Cod with the RC surfer toy. It's clear they've learned how to shott barrells with the RC surfer and their placement of him is very good.. They really need to come out with a summertime version of the toy though. Even that the weather listed for June 19th was 63 degrees, the toy should not feature a surfer in a hooded full suit with heavy gloves and boots. No one will do that in broad daylight just 48 hours prior to the summer solstice.
