Yes, you hijack threads, nothing really to tell, it's rather obvious. I may be in more threads than you but the ones you do participate in you turn it into the PJB show. When I post it's typically relevant to the thread or maybe a slight bit of side banter, but then back on topic. This thread has nothing to do with surfing, and will most likely be a locked thread soon, so I'm taking this opportunity to say a few things in response to your hate mail from yesterday. I never once singled you out, but you knew exactly who I was talking about, I wonder why.

The wave's the thing brothers, the wave's the thing. For once, I disagree with Lee. I think almost everyone who comes on here surfs. This is a surfing forum for surfers. And surfers have lives that deal with the world outside of riding waves, what board/wetsuit they use, etc. We have points of view on what is going on in the world. We voice them here on this site, seeking other surfer's opinions and thoughts on these subjects. Sometimes disagreements flare up and get heated. That's what happens in the real world. We have to stop being afraid of offending people in this friggin country.(Please see the NOYA thread) Topics about drugs, violence, racism, and the best BBQ are in the real world and whether we want to admit it or not, surfers are part of the real world and have opinions on these subjects.
It will be interesting to see how this forum gets moderated......

there won't be any moderating changes that we can see other than what we have right now, which is a back and forth on the topic.

this is not the first time swellinfo has chimed in with the rules posting. its just new for the all these tinfoil cap wearing conspiracy theorists that have shown up in the last 6 months to a year.

 

It's still a very fun site, even with "rules" in place, I'm sure they'll let most stuff ride. I don't want the humor to be lost on here, cause there are some seriously funny dudes that post. But there needs to be line, just to keep riff raff in check

Great question, it's a tough one, the moderator has a set of guidelines posted now and that will have to be his / her compass so to speak I guess, but I don't think it's so black / white, as long as it doesn't get taken to extreme, I think it'll be fine. His / her personal judgment will be the final say so I suppose.

Yeah I hijack threads(with a box cutter), but you think you should determine what is relevant or not. You think you're opinion is what counts. Whatever you do is ok, but you criticize others for doing the same thing you do.

I highly doubt he was banned for anything posted in this thread. My guess is that he said something via PM to the moderator. However, I could be wrong about that.
