Time to sacrifice the virgin off the Pier. Me thinks end of next week will give us a bit of relief, and it will only get better and more consistent from then. Maybe DOUBLE OVERHEAD in a month.

Picnic Tables has always been one of my favorite spots, as well as the south streets of Cocoa, for clean east summer/ early fall swell. I am visualizing the trip...that way it will manifest. Will update you bro! Every dog has his day.

You are truly blessed. I love surfing with chipmunks. The groms are the future. They make boat wakes look epic. I see a few fearless 3 foot tall shredders in the lineup, taking on 4 foot faces with total aplomb. It is inspiring for an old crusty to watch. Their surf mom told me they just got back from Costa Rica and took on 5-6 foot bombs. Hopefully when they own the peak they will throw me a few scraps.

    Gracias, Senor Seldom.

Took me awhile to get through the posts on this thread, but here's what I know:
    Real:
    Seldom Seen
    Mitchell
    Goofyfooter
    RobG
    Erock
    757Surfer
    Doug
    KokiBarrels
I'd like to say that Mitchell is truly one of those few who has the Del-Md coast dialed in. And he knows boards, majorly. The Seen is The Real Deal.
I'd add Leethestud to the dimension of realness but all I have to go on is his hate mail when he pm's me, so eh, maybe not so much. BTW, lee...? I might spring for the CR junket, but no way am I going to pay for you to indulge yourself in your passion for mutton esp when you're wearing your Levi's tucked into your boots. Yikes

    And ...Wayne....?
When I botch the takeoff on a 23-footer at AI & bellow "Jesus H. Effing Christ!" just before eating major shiiite.....it's just an expression, ok?

LMAO. I just asked my wife yesterday, what the H. stands for in Jesus H. Effing Christ, as my dad used to say to me all the time. She is Irish. She does not know. I know what the Effing means. Please enlighten us oh Yankee.

Hold on here, everyone's throwing around the word "Real." What exactly constitutes "Real?"

If anyone acts different on a computer than they do in real life, well y'all got some issues. Some Dirty Harry, Josey Wales dreams of machismo.

If real is an indication of surfing time and dedication, well I don't know. Gots that feeling that at least half of Swellinfo's community don't surf during the winter. Gots that feeling that many people on here have only been surfing for two years or less. Which is cool, but doesn't qualify them to be casting aspersions aboot others.

You have to surf for ten years before you can be cool and judge others. Hey, don't blame me I didn't make the rules.

Or is "Real" defined by Yankee's list? I don't know. According to that list LBCrew is fake...and Archy.......Jesus, Archy hangs out with Keith Noonan for God's sakes, and some people from Yankee's list are from Allentown, PA. Something ain't right there. Archy, I apologize that you weren't considered "REAL," and LBCREW, man, what can I say?

All I know is that Seldom Seen is a smart guy who has good taste. And he's dedicated to the surf. And that he hates
Mexicans. Ahhhh, I'm just joking aboot the Mexican hating. Seriously, Seldom Seen loves Mexicans and the Portugese and Germans and the Chinese. I'm not sure what he thinks aboot Russians..........

This is a travesty right aboot here. What aboot all the guys who tackle the constant Double Overhead swells we get on the right coast? Where's their due and recognition? Are they "fake?"

Holy shoot, am I "real?" Am I even here? Do I exist? Is this real or an illusion(Heyyyy it's the Illusion...on the spaceship, mother earth)? Why are we here? Is this life "real?" Yankee, I seek answers to these questions.

    Wayne,

Please just have faith that I am real even though you've never seen me.

Sorry for the late reply. My use of a computer is limited to say the least. That's the same guy. They move around a lot for obvious reasons.
BTW, I'm REAL. I'm friggin scary real.

Oh shoot how could we forget LBCrew!? Soooo sorry dude, you are a sage of surfboard design and performance, please excuse. And always respectful to other forum members. And Archy, I remember reading about how you got malaria in Indo or something, thats pretty dang real.
PJB, you're real on both physical and existential levels...who knows, we all might just be light beings. And man, I love Mexicans...I mean, those guys were eating cactus and mushrooms, building super complex astronomically significant builings, sacrificing humans, and worshipping animal deities. And shoot, we gat the name of God's dog from them(coyotl=coyote). We must pray to Quetzacoatl for favorable winds.
Now I gotta say, I do like some General Tsao's from time to time, and Taoism is a pretty good philosophical path, but I'm not too happy with the Chinese right now. They gotta stop eating shark fins and skinning animals before I can drop my beef with them.

*I had faith in ya Chavez y Chavez. And I gotta ask, is your name inspired from the Chavez of Young Guns notoriety? That'd be so cool if it was.

That's fantastic. Well, you could say that you're an indirect descendant. Man he was good with a knife.
