You want short period swells, say 9 to 11 seconds? Any particular size?

Perhaps you could show me videos of the kind of waves you are talking about.

 

9-11 seconds is short period? LOL. Well, that shows your experience with our waves. Short period here is 5-6 seconds.

However, we generally see smaller waves at least a few days a week.

And I can tell you that, with a well designed EC log, I could have decent rides on most of those days. Any time it is even knee high, I can successfully use my 6'8" performance egg.

 

Ok so 5 to 6 second period, the standard for success being to take off, wobble a lot and then straighten out to ride the whitewater for a few moments or fall off.

This video shows solid stomach to chest fairly clean waves. Again, we only see this maybe a couple times a month, and I would already be moving to a shorter board.

 

Waist to stomach and semi clean. We see this only once a week, and I surf these conditions with a 7'4" or 6'8" egg.
