For your information i have access to two coasts, but my home break of Mount Maunganui has the reputation of being the weakest break around.Back in the 70's the local surf shop owner used to tell the grommets that it wasn't even possible to learn to surf there.

Nevertheless the waves I posted were ridden by others, just rather slowly, and not very far or for very long.

As for keyboard surfing, let's see evidence that you ride waves. I've been posting mine.

They work well over a very wide range of conditions.

The truth can hurt, but I feel that you are man enough to take it.

Regarding looks vs performance, what I've said is that the boards are designed to do moves which are for looks, not that they are just wall hangers.

I like the Will Allison balsa board which you posted, and feel that it would do better than most of the boards I see, if it were scaled up correctly it would do even better.

By 'better' I mean in terms of pure wave making ability.

Really ? That's terrible. I'm not making this stuff up but Maine gets way better than this all winter long. The outer banks must have something to do with this ? Sounds to me like your hometown is hardly the surf Mecca? So your the pawn of the surf chess board right ?

As opposed to foam filled with poison? See that's sounds stupid right? Thought so. Yankee your gonna have to start getting more creative if you seek successful mind game trolling.

Ahh the idiot convention circle jerking troll ring leader is swarming again, looking for its chance to get attention.

I have never claimed it was surf mecca. We are not the worst on the east coast, but we do have many flat days. I am guessing 99% of the surfers in NZ would claim SC isn't worth surfing. However, we do surf it, and the right longboard will work almost anytime it isn't a lakefront.

I'd say Rockaway Beach is the worst on the east coast....

I don't have the enthusiasm to go back and read all these posts to discover who I'm cheering for in this thread.... could someone give me the cliff notes?

Myrtle Beach is in the running. Even when there are waves, they never seem to set up right.

-Charles builds sweet Roy board and shares sweet ride report
-idiot convention ring leader troll Yankee comes and trashed it
-carter bled profusely from an ax wound in his crotch
-Roy shared his opinion on how his boards ride and how they are unique and excellent wave making utensils.
-Charles and Clemson repair broken friendship. (Ongoing) and still questionable.
-a few trolls followed Yankee in... Yankee is under investigation for using multiple user names to gain leverage.

lol. that was a nice summary. I was even surprised at some of the bullet points such as an axe wound to the crotch...

so.... I've had my back and forths with Roy in a few threads and I have to agree he is an annoying person to get into it with on the internet. But I've always said his boards and craftsmanship are very nice.... but the design is not as incredible and conquering as one might feel that Roy is trying to pass it off as. Its just the way his posts come off to a reader.

I would guess, and its only a guess, that his boards probably cost 1000 us dollars at most to build. If he sold them for 6g's I bet he'd be making a lot of boards. but instead he seems to only make a lot of internet posts instead.

so but Charles aside from all the bs, your boards that you've made seem to be really nice looking from the pics. the woodwork is so nice that if you lived near me I'd ask you to do my kitchen floor!

Wow MFitz in one paragraph you sum up my thoughts on Roy and Charles very nicely and without all the animosity I used in all my numerous posts. Can I please send you my thoughts on these two to summarize and proofread before future posts? :D

You posted this in response to Charles' post... but Charles did not say anything about me being 'annoying'... so agreeing with him about it is fraudulent.

Thus you have indulged in a logical fallacy in argument.

lol. Roy!!! When I mentioned that I agree, you are annoying I was not referencing anything charles had said. I was agreeing to the general idea of you being annoying, which is so prevalent and obvious at this point in your forum history that no particular mention of it is necessary now.

I dislike your opinion on Roy's prices and feel you tend to jump on anyone who has a problem with Roy. Other than that I have no thoughts about you either good or bad. I do also like the fact that you seem to be a very good craftsman and took the initiative to make your own board (and not try and claim it is worth more than most folks home, cars and retirement funds combined) which I think is pretty cool.
