other orgs have as much if not more influence of govt. if corporations really do control everything then why do they allow unions at all let alone allow unions to wield so much political power?

Here's a great example: Post 2008 collapse there were a couple different ways to handle "propping" the system back up.

A Socialist would've nationalized the banks. and/Or if any public $$ was to be used the public would've been the focus of the bail-out. i.e. the FDIC would've made the depositors whole and gone on from there..

    A Fascist/Corporatist would've bailed them out via Bush/Obama.

A Free Market would've let the rot be cleared via bankruptsies and allowing the market to clear on all those bad mortgages... today We'd have hundreds of NEW and more local banks and fewer behemoths that are TBTF.

Do i need to go into what QE's 1,2,and 3 are all about? cAn you guess who they benifit? cAn you guess what category of govt would be "cool" with that?

unfortunately this sane rational approach to governance can get carried out to ridiculous extremes, like if I want to bang goats while smoking crack and riding wooden boards while constipated, I should be allowed to do that, however, I should be subject to any ridicule and scorn (not physical intimidation or violence) that society dishes out.

What's a "Union"? There's no magical entity..it's just people who vote en masse for the same things that benefit their trade etc. They just get bought off by propaganda like the rest of America.

ACA is a great thing! Saving me 1000+ bucks a month. The Gov of West Virginia was on a talking head show. he set up exchanges in his state (like all the other states were suppose to do in order to get it started) and there was massive positive response. WV is represented in Washington by Mitch "turtleface" McConnell and Rand Paul. The gov said that all those trying to get rid of it, will pay for their lies when people find out how great it really is.

ummm. UAW, SECU, AFSME, Teamsters, NEA etc etc. Citizens United was ruled specifically because these entity had too much power in the political system. Talking about corporate greed is fine but to do so without talking about union greed is not rational.

Another example of how a problem was handled in a Corporatist fashion...is health care.

Socialists would've settled for nothing less than a Public option.

Corporatists (after consulting with the Industry most likely to profit from any change) would've used the power (and guns) of the State to force people to ...wait for it...buy Insurance in the waiiiiit for it...

    Private Market.

Chica, I'm happy that some people can finally get some Insurance. Truly! But these same people have just been bought off with a SHORT term solution to a problem that is gonna take our lifetimes to play out...

this is suppose to be a christian nation according to all the Repugnicans. that must mean these blasphemers believe in Jebus. I don't think he said, those who fug over the lesser of thee, will get a high five from me.
Single payer is what every other industrialized nation has for their citizens. You'd think that, since we're so exceptional, we'd do something better than that.

I don't think so. At the first of the year I'll have an extra thou to throw into the economy. that's 12,000 a year going someplace other than the pockets of the insurance companies.
