Surfing all year this year so I'm thinking about investing in some boots/ gloves/ etc. Does anyone know of any good boots for $40 (more or less)?

i heard the oneill ninja boots are real warm. There only three milimeters and feel like socks on your feet. There only in 30 dollar range so maybe those.

good luck in February in 3mm. boots..

Electric Banana - go for 5mm or 7 mm if you really plan on surfing all winter. I personally have never found a 7 mm. round toe that i like. Have surfed the last few winters in xcel 5 mm. split toes.

my oneill boots and gloves always seem to tear really easy?

i really like the ripcurl split toes i got last winter, its kind of nice having your toe to lock into the boot so your foot doesnt slide around when its all numb

X-cel are very nice, get the 7mm if surfing all winter, not much difference in the feel, but will keep your feet toasty even when the water hits upper 30's.
