I just got an 08 Mazda 3 5 door, I fit my 6'4" which is in a 6'6" bag in their easily, could fit more in with the whole back seat down and the passenger seat way up. Great car the 2.3 liter engine makes it quick. I had a 95 2-door hatchback escort before, did the job but died on me. I love my Mazda not as good on gas as the Ford was but waaaaaay nicer.

2005 Mazda 3 5Door...great car! Seems alot of us surfers have this car. Fits boards no problem, girl friends 7'6" fun board fits right up the middle w/out taking up much space in the front, just steals a bit of peripheral visibility! Zoom Zoom for real. Fun car to drive economical too!!

2006 Shadow Spirit 750. cobra slash-cut straight pipes

04 Honda Element could use a little more power, but has plenty of space and is the ultimate road/surf trip vehicle

Indeed! 03' Honda Element here... While I am on surf trip, it isn't expensive just because I sleep in the car not in the hotel because sleeping in the car is more comfortable than bed in cheap hotel!

83 Mercedes diesel burnin' the waste vegetable oil from the Village Restaraunt on Chincoteague. It's my daily commuter and I pay NOTHING for fuel !!!!!!!!!! "Nobody Rides for Free" my ass!!
Surfmobile is a 95 Range Rover Classic. A gas-hog, but a diesel swap is in its near future so I can roll down the beach for no money.
3 vettes, too. They're fun, but not real comfortable or practical.

Well I've just got one thing to say about burning vegetable fuel. With a new diesel vehicle, they are said to get 500k miles on regular diesel motor, and on Vegetable oil, about 150k before the motor goes. It's cheap (or free) for now, but think about the long run. Unless of course you don't care because it's an older vehicle.

Okay, so you only get 150,000 miles on an engine. If you were paying for gas on that 150,000 miles, let's assume you get 20 miles to the gallon. That is about 7500 gallons of gas over the life of that motor. At the very best you may spend $3 a gallon on fuel, but in reality (especially for diesel) you are spending $4+ on average for fuel. That is between $22500 and $30000 over 150000 miles. When thinking about the long run it is still cheaper. Sure, a diesel motor is expensive, but I am sure you could replace it several times for $30k. Or better yet, just buy another inexpensive used diesel vehicle. Give me the free veggy oil any day.

Very true. I suppose if you've got a constant supply of the veggie oil then I would be all for it, especially since you're basically using trash and helping the environment, saving the restaurant a few bucks not having to deal with disposal too.

sector 9 is a fine purveyor of knee-skateboards, though KB4L rolls on a custom cut schmidt stick yard stick with rector kneepads while wearing a "no fat chicks" t-shirt. got the whole set-up from atlantic skates.
