Haha this is real. Grain has been on the Mobil classroom expedition out west and have been surfing along the way. These guys converted a school bus into a woodensurfboard classroom. Pretty cool. The shark incident is real and not a hoax for advertising.

I just got super nervous that Maine surfers had their first run-in with a GW. Quite relived that I still have nothing to worry about when I surf aside from my lack of skill.

Also, that dude's mustache gets a resounding A++.

 

We call Gleneden Beach "Get Eaten" Beach. A friend of mine also got his board bit and lost his center fin north of there a few weeks ago.

Well the title does say "Maine Surfers", sorry we are not all as geographically knowledgable as you are. The author not only sounds like a 3rd grader as Erock pointed out but if he is going to title the article with Maine in it then he should have used the state of where it happened and not just the name of a beach and bay that only locals would really know. That is like when people on here talk about Surf City referring to the town above Topsail Beach NC and folks on the west coast think they are referring to Huntington Beach due to the moniker that town has.

Um. It is on a Oregon based news site, of course its going to say Maine Surfers in the title. quit being a dingle. The Author sounding like a child has nothing to do with the fact everyone automatically goes into OMG mode without reading the facts first.

I applaud Erock for taking the moment to realize the article was poorly written (even if it was written by a Oregon preschooler, not Maine), Instead of overreacting based solely on the title.
