45 years old, started surfing at Salisbury State in 1988. Hmmmm. 25 years. Still a kook. Still grinning from ear to ear every time.
I'm 60, been surfing 50 years mostly local but lived so-cal for a few years. Just picked up a 6' Lost Motivator 5 fin set-up for a new groveler on my bday this month!
Jesus Christ, sorry Wayne, Mr. Swellinfo Guy better start farming younger kids or this website is going to crash in ten years. This is like a middle-aged crisis/nursing home here........ I was born in 1972. Started surfing year round in 1986. So, I'm 41.....but I look 34....and mentally I'm aboot 25 - They say you stop maturing when you get chemical. So.....yeah aboot 25. I don't have a calculator handy and spent four years in the Southern California School System(two parochial and two public) so I can't figure out how long I have been surfing on waves. A little help, please.......I know my age because my tutor goes over that with me every day.
39 for another five days, skated for 15/16 years, surfed a few times in my 20s but am now full time on the water for the last 2 1/2 years. I can't take hitting the concrete anymore. Dude's bones are getting old... All in FL, surf both coasts when i get the chance
Age 33 Boogied since I was like 6 Started surfing at 16 Started surfing every day at 23 5-9 x 160 I ride shortboards and longboards depending on wave
Soon come my fitty-first bday. My first ride was down the uterus with a bottom turn at the cervix, and got spat out the Vag.
32...been at it in some way shape or form since I was about 12...had some times in life where I was pulled away for a bit, early college and then during my first attempt at domesticity, but that's never happening again. SkegLegs how come you're mad all the time? #belmartranscendstime
31 Started when I was 16, went nearly every day spring-late fall until I left for college. Off and on for the next 6 years, then moved inland and was off completely for another 6. Just got back into it two years ago and going year-round. It's been like reuniting with a lost love...arguably better.
29 years of age and have been surfing since age 22 (so 7 years) sophomore year in college. That Sh*t has been life changing. I feel like I would be some fat, boring regular old joe without it. Oh, I am.
45 years old - Navy brat so I grew up in the water. Got my first real board at 16, so surfing about 30 years. There were a few lean years in my 20s and 30s, chasing the wrong dream. But I got my priorities in order and moved to Folly Beach. Now that I walk to surf I'm logging more water time than ever - easily in the water more than 100 days each year for the past three years, where I used to be lucky to get out once or twice a month... Looks like everybody here is on the same page - old is a state of mind.
57 years young...for 3 more days. Surfing since I was 12 (45 years) - OCNJ, Jax FL, OBX, move to socal, back to east coast 22 years between FL, DE, VA, NC. Age is but a chronological benchmark. Someone abovestated it well: body's 57 but the mind is 25! Felix Navidad *****es!
