Since WBTW announced that show would be filmed in Murrells Inlet,South carolina... crews from the production company had begun working on a large home called King's Krest, a 100-year-old house located on the Marshwalk. This location is intended to house the cast for about a month during the filming of the show, but word of the show has worried many locals about what the caricatured "reality" show could do to the peaceful fishing town's reputation. Local resident Warren Stedman stated "There was all this secrecy, they kept telling us it was a documentary, well no it's not. It's a reality show about a bunch of drunk 20-year-olds or whatever, coming in and pretending they're Southerners."

well thanks yall now you come down here import people from the north to make us look stupid...

I can't wait for it to air with a bunch of drunk southerners acting like idiots. So we can all laugh at them and make fun of how embarrassing they are...
But didn't worry. Y'all already have a couple under your belt:
    Buck Wild
    Big Tips Texas

    Classy folk

Oh yeah and don't forget "Rodeo Girls" and "Hill Billy Blood"!

Its just amazing what they come up with and what people will actually watch!

"Naked and Afraid" isn't too bad, they should play uncensored though!

sandblasters, love ya brah you da mang but really...does the south need people from the north to make it look stupid? I'll just as soon listen to Rosie O'Donnell complain that a gaunt Kiera Knightley next to her makes her look fat. Let's be real here and give credit where it's due. The south needs no assistance with asserting its role in the sociogenetic order.

These are your people not the North's. You don't need northerners to look like complete jackasses. Your inbreeding takes care of that all by itself. Kiss your wife/sister goodnight and pray for surf.

Yeah, start the firefight you f*cking moron. Happy new year to you too jiz breath.

You know what I think of people from the south? I think they (except you) are nice people with amazing hospitality.

There are stupid a$$holes like yourself everywhere on the planet, you close minded simpleton.
The best part of your stupidity is you actually need someone to explain it to you.

They wanted to film that in downtown Charleston, but there were many many complaints.

Um, Buck Wild was filmed in WV, which is a yankee state. I should know, I lived there for 22 years. There are just as many dumb northern hicks as there are dumb southern hicks.

The crew from Jersey Shore does not represent the "North" in my opinion. There are people like that everywhere but that is an extreme case of immaturity created by a camera crew following young people around and drinking alcohol.

There South is just as bad as the North. There are just as many irritants below the Mason Dixon as above. The difference is the method in which they portray there mannerisms. Northerners/Jerseyites are just straight up - to your face rude.

Southerner's prefer to stair you down and when you walk away - talk as much crap as possible about you. Hello to your face stab you in the back.

This thread should not turn into a N Vs S thread. it is unfortunate that a small town in SC has to be subjected to such a showing of commercialized immaturity. It has nothing to do with Jersey Shore as much as the disruption of this towns quiet nature.

On another note - I believe Jersey Shore as a show is a big reason young people are such haters of the state and it's people, they feel like everyone is like the cast of that show.

You're the reason a thread like this becomes a battleground.

Reality tv really makes me fear for the future of civilized soceity. Its upsetting that people actually waste their time watching shows like jersey shore, the kardashians and dozens more I can't think of right now.

Then again I guess I'm wasting my time reading about them a surf forum so who the f am I to talk?.... And yes I just quoted my own quote. Yeah I went there. Now I'm afraid that theres no turning back. Its a slippery slope from here. Next up a video of me getting beat up by a dummy and getting pinned by the bar while trying to bench press 95lbs.

Posting/reading on a surf forum is way safer for your intellectual/psychological integrity than watching anything on tv, especially reality tv.
