Don't you that is how we do it here in NC. No in all seriousness that is messed up. Those cops should go to jail just as any murderer would. 3 cops on a 90 pound 18 year old and they need to shoot AND kill!!?!??! Why could you not shoot to wound for christ sake or better yet taser then cuff the guy or if more force is needed they could have knocked him out.

Vote Rcarter in 2014 Because if we all work together we can all hate everybody.

Wow...a 90 lb 18 year old kid w/ mental health issues. I don't see how he could've posed a threat where lethal force would even be slightly considered.

    That is horrifically awful.

Hmm...will this turn into yet another North vs. South thread? I really hope not.

Something like this happened to a friend's ex-fiance. She dated him for a long time, but knew he was having severe bipolar issues. Ex-military guy that finally broke down. He ended up moving back in with his parents, and was sort of losing it. His mom called the cops because he had a gun and she was afraid he would kill himself. Cops show up, inexperienced cop pulls his weapon, badabing badaboom, guy is shot down. Mom wanted some help, but her son ended up dead. Sad story. Some cops really shouldn't be on the force.

my wife was stalked by a cop for months. Every time we complained they swept it under the rug. And people wonder why I own and carry guns....

Exactly. The minority ruin it for the majority. It only takes a few shi**y cops to give them all a bad rap.
Sh*t like this shouldn't happen and it makes it harder for the decent cops to do their job. This kind of crap is unacceptable.
I'm sure the story isn't exactly the way they are telling it. I doubt 2 cops held the kid on the ground while the 3rd shot him... But 3 men should be able to subdue a 90 lb child without a bullet.

I am not a police advocate at all really, but I do respect guys that put their lives at risk and have to make judgement calls all the time. You are paid to be in a ton of Danger and sometimes sh** happens. San Diego PD shot people all the time. Kids. Crazy people. Homeless people. If you come at them from 50 yards away, you are getting gunned down... Its a sad state of affairs, but when people put their lives at risk in such a crazy job, they are also trained to protect themselves. This situation is wild. But it is what it is... "Mental Illness" and stuff are used as a lot of excuses, but people that act crazy in the real world put them selves at risk to get harmed. I mean, look at all these kids gunning down schools and doing crazy sh**. Its always stated after the fact "He had mental illness"... That is no excuse. I mean, would you care if someone in your family was harmed or worse by a person with "mental illness". That is no excuse. If you pose a threat to the real world, you should be removed from it and hospitalized. Not be allowed to walk around like a ticking time bomb that could harm innocent people at any time... Its like the pleading insanity debate in court.... Yeah, someone who murders 10 people is obviously insane. I kinda thought that goes without saying in situations like that.

Its like the Traevon Martin thing... If you listen to the police call and you follow the incident, the kid got away for almost a minute, had time to dump whatever "contraband" or whatever the kid had, then you hear zimmerman say that he is back in the seen. So, he vanishes and then comes back at zimmerman. The kid attacks zimmerman so he gets blasted... And the whole world is like, he was an innocent kid with skittles..... Well, where did he disappear to for 1 minute and why did he come back at the guy. What would you think. And then you are getting attacked. Even if the kid just punched him in the face, that is reason to get shot. Its not the wild west or the 50s. If you dont know what someone is capable of and your brain suddenly says you are at risk, you gotta do what you gotta do... bam bam.

I mean, I wasnt there, but after hearing the 911 call and the timeline, I think its pretty crazy that the world got up in arms about a sketchy kid getting shot after loitering and selling drugs then attacking the guy. crazy world. Lesson of the day. Don't fu** with the guy with a gun. Ever. Unless you got a bigger, faster gun and are ready to use it.

Yeah man idk...the trayvon thing is apples and oranges to this situation imo, at least what they're saying about it up to this point. Trayvon got capped in some sort of mutually engaged conflict...this kid idk, 3 cops, 1 kid w/ a screwdriver, couldn't they have tased him?

I'm no police advocate either, as there seem to be a lot of violations of peoples' rights quite frequently, but the flipside to that is I've had the privelege of knowing a few officers quite well...one in particular was like a brother to me, taught me everything I know about hand to hand combat, and was a warrior in the truest sense of the word. The type of guy you'd want to show up if the shiit's hitting the fan. So there's good ones out there for sure, they just seem to be outnumbered by the power hungry bad ones.

As an aside, i just got a ticket recently. For turning right on red in at a no right on red stoplight. Definitely one of the power piggies, and as he approached my truck he was shining his light around just looking for a reason to search my vehicle. I was driving clean, so I had nothing to hide, and some time...anyway I fumbled around acting all nervous hoping he'd search my truck(which has the more dog hair than any other truck in New England). He didn't take the bait unfortunately.

I don't stick up for Cops or Govt... You have it backwards my friend. Some people always go at cops and preach govt conspiracy... I said twice that this situation is awful and if he's guilty he deserves to die. How is that sticking up for him?
You're the one that is one sided and pathetic.

how is this not sticking up? saying you doubt 'it did happen that way'

the media hero worships cops, its terrible, and you back them up.
I could go dig up more of your authority slurping drivel, but why bother.
    keep sucking the cop cock!
