I think teachers are one of the most important professions and should be paid well. That salary you posted is exactly what teachers should be getting paid, if not more.

What profession do you think is "deserving" of a 6 figure salary?

In North Carolina based on the average teachers salary of $46,605 a year, based on the 10 month work year they have (does not account for all the holidays and such they get too) and working a 21 day average month at 7 hours a day is $31.70 per hour. In NC they do not have to have masters degrees like some states and there are many older teachers who have no college degree. I would say for 9-10 months of work a year $31 per hour is pretty damn good. Oh and I know these figures because two of my sister in laws and one brother in law are NC teachers.

And AndrewIfallalot I would say a doctor is deserving of a 6 figure salary.

Being a teacher is a great gig if you're not concerned with being rich. You will work much less than your friends and will make an ok salary.

Ya, I'm from Florida.... so...... I ............. don't even know where to begin.

I think Florida tops the country in the "dumdum" category. I have literally seen stories on the news and internet pretty much stating this. There was even a story posted at the end of 2013 about how much dumb crap happened in Florida for the year.

If you break it down though, Florida is pretty much where everybody in the country migrates to. Whether to retire, commit crimes, hide from crimes committed, etc.... its just a melting pot. So when you gather up all the dumdum's from all over the country and put them in one place you get an abundance of dumdum happenings and news stories!

I recently bought a book called "Finding Florida" by TD Allman and it pretty much sums it up. This is nothing new and has been happening in Florida since its inception. Its a very good book and I highly recommend anyone with the slightest intelligence pick it up and read it.

Another big topic covered in the book is that pretty much all of Florida's history is a lie. Right down to even what they teach in school is false! Want to know the real story read the book....
