I always played better when I was wearing USA across my jersey. I don't know about colorful wetsuits & my surfing, though.

I like the link on the bottom too, about wetsuit care. Good reminders.

In the 80s and early 90s, all black wetsuits were relatively rare. Most everyone was sporting some color. Then came the grunge years and the glammy, colored wetsuits started to diminish rapidly in the lineup. I've only now started seeing a comeback in colored wetsuits in the last few years.

Surfing is such a mental activity, I think pretty much anything can have an effect. I surf (much) worse when my wife is around - paddle for anything, get frustrated, end up too far inside and in the way. She showed up at the beach without my knowing a while back and asked one of my friends when I'd improved. He had no idea what she was talking about. I even notice a difference when I'm with different groups of friends. Hey, if a Care Bears wetsuit made me surf better and have more fun, I'd order two right now - surf whatever feels best.

Wetsuits are supposed to be black so they absorb heat from the sun. Unless your intention of wearing a wetsuit is something other than warmth.

I noticed I surf better without a wetsuit and a full 5/4/3 wetsuit boots gloves and a hood. My wetsuit is blue and I have a red and grey 4/3

My car didn't start the other day.... I checked the tires to make sure they weren't flat.

Completely unrelated but... thoughts on starting a surf gang called the Belmar Boys. Only requirement-- you have own, have owned, or know somebody who has driven with the top off of a ridiculous colored jeep at one point in your life, and you have to be able to name one Anne Hathaway movie.

Bright orange allows for the most pure wave riding one can imagine.

My suit's black and blue so I stay color coordinated when I get ragdolled really bad or take a board to the face.
Hey! Like my bobble head Obama Surf Avatar?

All I know is that I surf 1000 X's better when I wear a pair of trunks on the outside of my wetsuit.
