If you do freight probably 80-120... if boxed correctly you shouldn't have damage.

Depends how many pieces you cut it into to fit in the smaller box. You'll save money that way.

BTW, postage stamps won't stay on if there's wax still on the board.

there are alot of options, than having a shop box and ship via ups...
(is that fedex...home or from store location?..i know in CA..if you shipped from a kinkos /fedex
to another .it was pretty reasonable)..it takes me maybe 2 hrs..$25 in materials from surf source or Home Depot
to box a 7-8'...quick 45 minute roundtrip drive to amtrak..easy peazy..

pm update...a 7.4 hull was shipped from RI to FLA..tuesday...got it friday morning...via amtrak
    not a scratch...$64(w/insurance)..

Just make sure to do some good packing because my first board ever I got in the mail had a huge hole in the tail from being smashed on something

Check with greg liddle of liddlesurfboads.com
the great hull shaper lives on kuai....he ships for $100 fedex..to the states...1-2 boards..
(he shipped my 7.6 grande burrito hull to florida)
not sure how he does it...but certainly worth a shot contacting him..
