Leaving thursday for PR on another solo mission. When I brought up the subject a few months in advance, all my surf bros yell "Hell yeah, I'll go dude." Then it comes time to secure the tickets and what do I hear? Aw man the wife wont let me, I have to work, my pusswah hurts blahhblahblah. So here I go, solo again. Any of you fellas want to meet me down there. I know its late but I just booked last night. I will be in Rincon (going up to Aguadilla too) from Friday (Jan 24) thru Wed. Staying up the hill from sandys. Looks like 2 NW swells in 6 days. PM me for details if interested.

I've had to do solo many times too. People talk a big "I'll go!" but, 99% never do. I always seem to have a better time.

Yeah, this is a short hit and run anyway. Erock, didn't you say that you were going. I will be there till the 29th if you want to meet up for a surf or have a drink at calypso or something. PM me if our dates overlap. I've gone with friends and gone alone. One good friend is the ideal recipe I think. Splitting the room and car helps with the budget. I'm still trying to talk my sister into letting my brother in law go but its looking slim. I will try and get some good pics in between sessions to post when I get back.

I hear you man, my friends always bail last minute. I don't get people sometimes. You plan a trip, everything is all good and peachy, then when it's time to pull the trigger they can't like you hadn't been planning a trip for months. Regardless have a awesome trip, it sounds like you will. In my experience surfing alone is the most fun

I hate you right now... nah, have a great time man. Tell Bobby I said hi. We might go again in late Oct, we'll see. Going out West in March, or else I'd take up your offer. Hope you score!

Dayum man! We postponed last minute due to the N. Atlantic Conveyor Belt breaking down and allowing strong trades for the next week +. Luckily we're able to stay pretty open-ended on this one... now thinking about a couple different areas in the Carib if these trades continue to prevail.

Hope you got some good ones, Stuck!

Erock, how you swinging the delay? Sick frequent flyer status or did you convince them that travel insurance should cover no waves?

Looking at reports now for two weeks out, not excellent. Should that hold? What are conditions not worth going at? I had enough OH+ last weekend in SoCal for the time being. I'm good for the next month on getting thrashed and could deal with some kinder faces.

Just got back from Rincon the 25th. We had some Small fun waves Sunday, Mon, and Tuesday was real fun at Sandy's. Wed/Thurs nothing. Friday overhead- Marias was the only thing breaking. The guys at Indicators were going off. Surfed an hour at Maria's before I had to get on a plane to come home( it was still about head high) the 25th. I Had a pretty good time for my first Rincon trip. Gotta love the Cheech!

I've been really lucky Emass--my only obligation is to be available. This is all the doing of my best friend/surf trip companion, unfortunately the remaining musketeer in my usual surf trip trifecta has work obligations and a wife who's about to pop out a kid. He'll have to wait for the stories. We're gonna hash out the details tomorrow--and they might not have PR as the destination.

As to the forecast: Looks like the trades are setting in for at least the next couple weeks. You should be waiting for a North swell.
