Skipped a few hours of work to watch the Contest today . Some real nice waves , some real good rides ,and big beat downs . So what's worse , Getting guillotine by that fat lip or going over the falls on one of those bad mamba jambas ? Either way , I think I would poo in my wetty just trying to duck dive one of those mountains . I will leave that to the trained professionals .

Only saw the replay and the interview. Healy's got stones so large...to paddle back out after that. One of the announcers said he got held down at mavs in 94 and it took a year for him to go back. Mark did say he was toast for the rest of the heat. Legs were rubber and he was spent.

And yeah the belmar bench off is platinum...

Had to go to a meeting. Tashnick and Collins were winning the semi heat when I left, Pete was struggling.

 

Some of these waves are heavy! Reminds me of a Belmar secret spot, albeit a bit bigger at Mav's, similar power.

Twiggy dominates the final and wins

 

Dave Stanfield is such an idiot. He was saying how Dorian and Long had a shot at the end because they were close in scores.... But they would have needed 2 waves each to catch Twig with 2 minutes to go. It was impossible for them to catch him. The sh*t he says sometimes is so retarded.
