wow I can only imagine how many others have received warning for nothing.saying how the threads aren't funny anymore,and its becoming depressing,is grounds for removal?well we had a good run people,il miss u my friends when im gone,no more hysterical laughs like a month ago.seems my days are numbered

Ya know guys, just reading what was going on the last week or so, I thought 99% of what was wrote was just people blowing off a little steam, I mean there was very little serious stuff being said and after a few days everything just kind of mellowed on the topic. I have a feeling that PJB will be back, and will the rest of the crew also, at least I hope so. Some of the things said on SI was pure gold...real entertainment, and hope it stays that way...free PJB!!!! Seldom hang for a while and see what happens, man.

This is disappointing to me. I have been lurking this site for almost a year now and felt I needed to become a member to express my sorrow. I started using this page for the forecast and eventually found my way to the forum. I enjoyed and appreciated the information that was shared but the main reason I fell in love with this forum was all the debauchery that took place. I can count numerous occasions where I laughed like a Hyena high on the finest of drugs. There is just too many softies now a days my fellow rippers. Please do not take this post the wrong way Swell info admin. I respect and value what you do for us here. Just my two pennies worth...

 

Classic doubletalk... instead of censuring those who indulge in hate, blame those who are the subject of the hate and call them 'instigators'.

It's a fundamental and shameful reversal of fair play.

Unfortunately most people who go for 'official' positions which give them power over others do so because they have psychopathic tendencies... well adjusted people don't want such jobs... that's why governments are so universally dishonest. You are following this trend even though you no doubt feel that you are doing a good job.

... and just look at the number of people grovelling to you and praising your actions, pretty sad.

It's ridiculous for grown men to change their personalities online in response to ludicrous demands from jumped up officials on some private website, but still they do it.

I am all for the free-for-all forum format, but they have decided to start moderating here. If there is going to be moderating, self promotion threads are the first that should go. If you want to pimp yourself and your products, buy some ad space. Otherwise, you are just using the forum for free advertising (something you have done all over other forums), which is sort of wrong. You were the one preaching about free market blah blah blah months ago. This is, as you said, a private website. It costs money to maintain, and brings in money for the owner. I am sure you could spare some of your last $1million board sale to actually contribute to the site, in exchange for ad space.

Best first post, period. It's nice to hear coming from an objective standpoint. sisurfdog, Fl surfdog, don't worry dudes, I'm not going anywhere. Just gonna get caught up at work and lurk till this blows over. Slahdog and yankee, those last couple posts represent the brilliance that takes place here. I've said this before, this forum and the only other one I've been involved with have convinced me that some of the greatest minds of our generation are behind the keys on these types of virtual spaces...just when I think I'm pretty well read, quotes get dropped that I've never seen before.

Brew, as a fellow man of science(a slightly different kind but still), always enjoy what you have to say as well, even though you guys give Uncle chich a hard time.

Lee, I'm with you on agreeing with what Roy said(for once), despite his shameless self promotion.

Maybe it's b/c I don't socialize much(I'm kind of a weirdo), but I feel like I know some of you guys better than the humans I deal with in real life, and value our disussions more than those I have with friends who just are not on the same wavelength as I am. So, thank you.

And Bear, you're the man. You represent the collective subconscience of what brings us all to these physical manifestations of Earth energy that we ride. That we have no choice but to ride. Is there any other way?

One more thing, props to Doug and you guys who care about wolves and other predators.

 

Now due to the censorship that's been going on here, I chose to put this in a seperate post. My biggest gripe with this place now is the deletion of posts/threads. You want us to tone it down a notch, cool, we'll abide. But deleting threads and posts??? Uncalled for and totalitarian(except maybe the MSW thread I get that, there might've been legal considerations).

But where's my bring back the Bear thread? Gone.

Also, sunday night I noticed Mr. 42 get snarky with cep...something along the lines of hime saying "maybe you should study meteorolgy a bit more", uncalled for. And I called it out(nothing personal 42), merely noting the fact that apparently it's ok for some to get snarky while others can not. And that got deleted. That's a bunch of bullocks(that's for you, MSW).

So, not sure if this post will add another infraction point to me, or get me banished(as I already have an infraction), but if so, it is what it is. I'll be back.

And scotty, you're just mad still that I was right about Muslims in Indo. Get over it dude, it's not that big a deal.

 

Glad to see you stay Seen. I'm in agreement with you on all points here brother. All this talk about how it used to be an intelligent, moderate forum until only recently and has been ruined by rowdy newcomers is complete Bullsh!t. Now I have nothing but respect for the guys that came before be particularly NJSurfer, LBCrew, Erock, Mitchell, Pump, Lee, Yank, Aquahalolic, etc. These are guys that can give useful information. BUT there was plenty of vitriol on here back then to. I was a first page poster on the original NOYA thread, which is the only thread I've ever got into one of these silly online fights. Some bean bag from Florida name Kyle. Guys like Rip Turbo, Aqua, I Hate LBs, have all given it out to people as far back as 2008. The Lee/Yankee feud was so long ago it has since passed into legend. But crap NEVER got deleted! I know it's your site, your rules, but deleting thread because Seldom called for the return of SJB/PJB, is a gross over step.

Now like Lee said I would prefer to go back to no moderation but if they are going to moderate the site then yes Roy, Wayne and others can not be allowed to use it for their own advertising space.

Forget you guys. I've already begun posting on supergrombrah RI's forum or site or whatever it is. Psyche! I'm sticking around this break. Less time to focus on reading all the threads but most of you love to hear that since it means less replies from me. Slashdog, how many Jolt colas per day is RIsurfer up to now...a 30pack?
