The 40 mph wind and quickly dropping swell make it tough to get some quality surfing in. I'm mostly surfing beachbreachs and haven't had much luck with these swells. It seems that these are typically the only swell events that come around this time of winter. Any suggestions on making this swell more ridable? thoughts?
Where do you even surf? And by making the swell more rideable do you mean a different board or do you want me to call the weatherman and have him cancel the wind?
I surf in nj. I'd really appreciate u calling the weather man and asking him to cancel the wind. I've tried calling but they haven't picked up for me, maybe you'll have some luck
During the winter, that wind can howl offshore after a storm...often 25mph+... I know at times I wish the wind would just lay off
You may get a better quality session if you didn't post about future swells with dates...... atleast you left the location out...
it's 6 days away and yes, surfing can be difficult, frustrating and not always rewarding. if you want instant gratification try video games
Thank you then we'll both be able to call about unwanted weather. To bad this swell is gone now maybe al can bring it back for us
A small trolling motor affixed to the back of your surfcraft will make it easier to get through the raging whitewater and into some juicy sections.
you gotta get on it quick, usually within a few hours of the wind switching west... the west offshore wind kills the swell quickly- by the next morning its gone...
