    That is correct.

In practical terms was a fair dinkum unmakeable section, you are technically correct however, after all with infinite speed any section is makeable.

The low line pullout move doesn't maximise speed, but it does make losing the board and swimming less likely.

Perhaps a shorter board could have slid down the concave the wave a little more `efficiently` (especially if you were going backside) with rails that can hold a line while still allowing quick pump adjustments to accelerate out of the section. Maybe makeable, certainly by someone on this planet.. Somone on this forome? Yet to be seen. Roy 0 Haters 0.

Just post the Rarick video of his test ride on gnome's plank. Seeing is believing.

Also, is there any video of the gnome plank getting demolished in head-high NorCal surf last year? This one has rarely been written about.

Finally, I heard the beach marshmallow roast over that same NorCal pile of gnome bonfire wood was epic. Vids should be posted, folks.

Easy to say when you weren't there... most of the section is out of the frame, and there was no exit. The rails hold very well too thanks.

Don't we all aspire for that each day?

Such is law. Except it's actually 8-10ft.

THEN POST IT AND LET'S BE DONE WITH THIS QUINTESSENTIAL KOOKTHREAD EITHER WAY BRO!

Bro. 12 courses (36 credits of 120) equal a B.A. in Philosophy. That's debatably a "general studies" degree, aka a collegiate GED. You are no learned man. Oh, and half the rest of your claims in that passage are debatable.

Bro. It's HELMUT just like it's BARRELL. Please.

BURN THIS THREAD! IT'S THE EPITOME OF WHY SI FORUM SUCKS RIGHT NOW!

Spicoli stfu. Blah blah go back to your pier shooting and your brah broh Hurley t shirts. Your a shreddah , your a kook and you know it ! Hit me up Spicoli. The WALL !! Better yet rye rocks.

This thread is way better than any of that fictional trash you trolls frequent.. Shooting piers .. Ok. Nj shred machine. Bottom line Spicoli you can't handle people talking about alternative surf craft and experiencing things from a new perspective so this make you a very very simple human. Bro I got a bachelors. Come at me bro.

    THE WALL.

As I said Rarick was kooking it, he improved a bit towards the end though. He was trying to ride the board like a mal, and should have dialled the board in before making pronouncements... he had preconceived ideas though, and axes to grind.

There's no video of the 13 footer at Ocean Beach San Francisco, it was a sizeable day, and the rider had already broken 5 dedicated big wave boards that season. He breaks boards. He gave a good ride report on the board too, as have many others.

The Ghost 13 is being restored by Brad Tucker of wood surfboard supply. He's doing a very good job. It's quite a big task rebuilding a broken parallel profile wooden board, I did it once on a 17 footer.

Not close enough, it was stated that one could pull in to a wave like the one I was riding .. on a fridge door.

The video doesn't show a fridge door or a tube.

Maybe not but it does show a crew ripping way harder on alternative surf craft than any video I've ever seen of you on your stuff. For god sake Slater surfed a coffee table!

Roy, To be honest I generally understand why you respond to some of these antagonistic posts, but the reality of the situation is that I think your design approach is a bit too unorthodox to be appreciated. If I were in your boat I'd try to let some of this go--focus on design topics, fin theory, etc. Your designs will stand or fall on their own. You stated you're get some solid video of the point in your area and I happy to wait to see...however, I think in the event you fail to bring it relatively soon...well I assume that you will be heavily flamed/trolled.

Additionally, I like what you do...I think you are a craftsman and appreciate where your going. I would agree with you (as you posted elsewhere) that Randy should have rode your board differently/incorrectly and the result was he made the overall ride look pretty unfavorable. I think your fin design for your boards are consistent with your design theory...although I take a more "traditional" approach to my boards/fins...I like what ya do. I think some of your ideas have real potential--however I surf what I have been due to familiarity as well as what it offers me I terms of fun and performance...maybe one day I'll get to a point when I'm riding boards similar in design...but I'm not there yet...

For some of you who think I'm too soft on Roy...maybe I am but I don't think so...his approach to board building is outside of my box. Consequently, I am waiting for validation of his design in waves of consequence as much as anyone else...to allow some of more extreme/inflammatory statement to bait yea...well why bite. I think this is a put up or shut up type of situation...I'm interested in seeing how it goes down, but why banter with someone who won't necessarily agree with your perspective /approach. It's like pissing into the wind...

Again Roy, and mods, not an attack, but I'm interested... That's why I keep coming back to this thread...look forward to the vid Roy...

Typical cryptic Roy response. How is stating my opinion about that video compared to yours arguing myself into a corner? I was not arguing with anyone, just stating my opinion.

Roy you are correct, it would probably be easier as a frige door is more buoyant.... you know that right?
