So much fun this am, chest hi give or take and clean. Air77 water 77. A few tools out in the water, but that's to be expected when there's a descent swell down here. First time surfing in the Jupiter area, live south and usually go north of there. Anywho, anyone else get it?
Yea man, water was a little cooler where I was at, but a top is all I used, chest to head high offshore winds. Thick fog at day break, one of the first ones out. Damn there was a lot of sharks though.
Got it good yesterday early, waist - chest, HH on sets, clean little barrels here and there, sunrise till about noon when the storms rolled in and the wind killed it. Didn't see any sharks at my spot, no doubt they were there though.
When I first got there, there were two sharks chasing mullet to the shore, half their bodies out of water, and these bad boys were 5 to 6 feet in length...awesome sight
Nice Surprise swell in s fl this morning! Only me and 3 other lucky sob's out. Lill smaller than yesterday but cleaner. I'm not really looking for sharks when I'm out there. What I don't see, can't hurt me. Right?
Glad you got some down there, sometimes it doesn't make it that far down the coast, i hear ya on the sharks, outta sight, outta mind
Just got back. There was a reason we were mostly only ones paddling out early this morning. Wind NE 15-20 lots of side shore and slop 2-3-4' wicked N to S current, did lots of walking back. But man its fun no matter the poor conditions. I guess yesterday was the best of it. Good on you FLSURFDOG for not letting the men in gray suits chase you away
It was chest to shoulder high and long rides in Jupiter yesterday, with lots of spinners jumping. today a bt smaller but lots of fun. the coolest thing happened yesterday am. I checked the pier and it was closed out and crowded, and went up the beach and saw a nice wave. Got out of the car and saw a few SUPers on the peak, and up the beach a few kids on another peak. I found a sandbar between the two, but it was very inconsistent. I warmed up on a few, but I noticed the SUP crew were all novices, except one guy. And they didn't know how to line up the peak, so I gradually eased over and started catching long ones out the back. I said hello to a few, and they were real polite. Soon they all paddled up the beach and I had the peak to myself for two hours. The only thing I could think of is the guy who knew what he was doing, was teaching them, and gave them some etiquette lessons and they actually listened. Miracles do happen. Thank you SUP crew!
I was at Ft. DPS, it was fun surfed till 2p.m. when that N. wind whipped around on it, but by then I was whooped. Yea Betty surprised I didn't see you out there, you missed a good time. Naw, them grey suits don't bother me much, lightning is about the only thing that chases me out of the water.
Yeah, I know, just couldn't make it satuday. Had to settle for early today, Sunday, a.m. But the great thing about being a terrible surfer like me is that every time out is super fun, maybe because there's no wave pickyness And the water was warmer than last weekend.
True words brother! I had so much fun this morning at low tide on my log, I went out at high tide this afternoon on my fish and got barreled in the shore break. Life is good. There were tons of sharks, the lifeguard had the double red flag out, but there were still a few of us on a couple of peaks down the beach. Lightning scares me too, cause I am a sinner.
