Fantastic, Erock! I would not have found this. Many thanks! Can always count on you to post up these links for pro contests, time after time all year long. Ordering food for delivery now. Now if I could just figure out what language the Aussie announcers are speaking....
Merewether isn't a world class wave by any means, but the surfing definitely makes it interesting now that the comp is getting down to the pointy end. Yank--at least they aren't British. I can translate their turning all names into names that end in O and such, at least they don't add extra syllables to words as readily as the Brits. Snapper starts in less than a week, forecast is looking at least half way good right now... gonna be a good one as long as there are waves.
Oh yeah... This contest has the worst broadcast out of any on tour--they don't even have replay, much less heats on demand. Still better than watching Downton Abbey or whatever else crap show there is on cable........*Olympics*......
Aye, true that mate! The Aussies throw that broad flat AAAAA on a lot of words. Still very understandable, though. I have trouble with the Kiwi accent, 'cause they clip many words, cut them off short & speak very quickly in almost a shorthand esp if they use slang: 'ute' means 'pickup truck' for example. Come to think of it.....Maybe that's why the gnome has made it as far as he has with his million-dollar planks: no one can really understand a word he utters.
