No need to leave. If necessary, just take a bit of a break - say a week or so. Maybe use the time to start a new hobby or go back to an old one. Read a good book. Start learning to play a musical instrument. Work on income tax.

I took about a one week break last month. Set up a 20 gal aquarium. Read Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea. Watched some college basketball (I like Syracuse). But I missed the Forum gang. Don't have many to talk to who have an interest in or an understanding of surfing.

I don't know man... I still think you should leave. even if its temporary. sounds like you are crying a bit for attention and if this is your place to look for attention than you have other more important issues to attend to.

I surfed FLA a few weeks ago. Horrendous closeouts at Tables or whatever that place is near the AFB. An even the locals were yelling 'jezzzus h keerist may you rot in hell you fake' when they saw shapes under the water. So, I dunno about FLA surf, if even the locals are sketched out about The Man In the Grey Suit.

Surfed last wknd in Del Mar. Really fun. Also, as many easterners have noted, it's funny how the Cali boyz disparage waves that we were having a blast with. Goes to show where the real juice is in this fine nation of ours.

Finally, is the HOTY14 thing still on...? Or did that go the way of the New Rules on The Forum...? Just checking! If it's off, then you may as well award it right now to me, and RCarter you can start to amass fundage for the HOTY15 campaign while I re-stock the HOTY arsenal.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this to you in another thread but not sure if you saw it. You caught it just a bit late on that swell. If you're ever back in the area let me know when you're coming down and i'll let you know when to time it just right depending on the swell / wind direction. I got that spot and several others dialed in
